(4/7/2022) mid-afternoon lunch stop… had just arrived in Oxford for a couple days. Tacos sounded great! South Depot is located a block from The Square and was relatively empty on a Thursday afternoon. Big open space (2 storefronts combined) with wood floors and Oxford / Ole Miss centric decor. Chose one each of the Memphis BBQ Pork, the Korean Steak and the Fried Fish. Of these the Steak was my personal favorite for both flavor and fillings; the Pork was too “one-note for me and so wet that the double corn taco fell apart and the Fish was really dry. Sweet Tea was just right! ? Reasonable prices and very filling - I’d certainly go back!
This is how I received my door dash order from taco shop. These don’t even look like chicken, looks more like fried GIZZARDS, they are so black. How could you even place this on a taco for anyone to eat?
The food was just okay, I probably make better tacos than they do IMHO. The vibe works fine. They've got several TVs (which I never care for) with news and sports, interestingly this does not seem to be at all a Mexican restaurant from anything I can tell. It's mainly southern food with a few "asian" options, mostly in tortillas. The decor overall is clean and simple, I would have appreciated about five times as many pictures on the walls.
Good tacos at a good price. Very similar to Moe’s Southwest. Recommend.
Stopped here late on a Saturday. It has a nice relaxed atmosphere and the service was friendly and efficient. The food was really tasty. Had the fried fish taco which was really nice - especially liked the jalapeños on it. Also had the queso and salsa - both really flavorful. This was a nice find a I’d definitely visit again.
Lol?? Cant place online orders after 6:30pm when they close at 9pm, can’t place an order over the phone, can’t get curbside pickup during a time when the most recent strain of COVID is both at an increase in our area as well as 75% of new cases. Pay people more and give them their credit card tips and maybe you can get staffing! I’ve known people who worked here since this place opened, it’s no wonder they can’t staff well enough to actually make money.Which is a SHAME honestly because this restaurant is amazing! Their food is incredible, staff is always friendly, the space and decor are fantastic. It’s just… not managed well.

Not gonna lie. The food is delicious and hot. Service is okay, not great. The food makes it all worth it.
