My husband and I enjoyed some drinks and a delicious pepperoni pizza during Happy Hour! Service was very personable and helpful! The music that was playing was great!
Really busy on a Thursday night. Being a solo traveler and not interested in the loud & crowded bar scene, I opted for a takeout pizza. Wait time was about 20 minutes, so I used that time to wander around the nearby Square. Friendly service at the door. Pizza was ready promptly and boxed to go. I got the Bacon Jam and Calabrian Chili Honey pie - absolutely delicious toppings and doughy wood-fired crust. Still hot by the time I returned to my nearby hotel and *great* as heated up leftovers the next day! Why “only” a 4 of 5? Atmosphere: dark and kinda “clubby” in the evening —- personally not my scene/taste. Also, at $19 that admittedly delicious pizza was merely 4 slices, a good meal for one person —- but rather expensive for what it is. Nonetheless, very good experience and obviously very popular.
The food was very expensive and mediocre. Marinated olives-too garlicky and not really marinated. Pasta Bolognese was passable. Chopped Salad with chicken was soggy. Pizza was the same as any other pizza on the square. The interior of the restaurant is very nice though! We are also told they needed the table by 7 as soon as they seated us, then again after our server took our order. We mentioned that depended on the kitchen and wait staff. We were out by 7:00. Next time we are visiting, we will skip it and head some place else.
This was a spot my co-workers and I tried while at Ole Miss for work. The world famous Oxford, MS Square has a lot of great places to get good ole southern food. This place is Italian with a southern flavor. Everything we ordered was so fresh, well-seasoned and delicious. We tore into everything so quick, I didn't even have time to take photos. We shared the Chopped Salad, and a couple of pizzas and all were delicious. Take my advice and give this one a shot the next time you are in Oxford, MS.
The vibe feels modern, classy, and moody. My under the Tuscan Sun cocktail was delightfully citrusy, though I wish it had a garnish. The meatballs appetizer was flavorful and delicious, although we ran out of bread to pair it with halfway through. My wife's Bianca Pizza was "delectable." I had the bolognese, and it was an excellent, faithful rendition of the Italian classic. Plenty of meat, each piece of pasta coated with just the right amount of mouth-watering sauce. It's an upscale restaurant, but I feel like we got what we paid for.
Disappointing ExperienceWe went to St. Leo’s in 2020 right at the end of the year and had a wonderful experience- the service was great, the drinks were fantastic, and all of the food was phenomenal and fresh. We left excited to come back and to try more things off the menu.We went back about a year later, and we’re really disappointed in the experience. Our server was almost never to be found and was definitely not very personable. Our drinks were just ok- definitely not to the quality we found last year (the pour was not too great either). But most disappointing was the food- our pizza was not very hot when it came to us and the flavors were lacking; we got the Burrata appetizer and while it was good, there was not enough of the bread to eat all of the burrata with so we had to order more bread, which meant we spent more money on the appetizer than our pizza.I am so sad because we really were excited about the experience, but for the price and the declining quality, I don’t think we will be returning.
Had Saturday brunch here and highly recommend it. Beautiful relaxed, modern atmosphere with attentive service. The menu has wonderful selections without being overwhelming with too many options. Had breakfast pizza which had wonderful flavor. Be sure to try the fries - they will ruin all other fries for you. They are fried to perfection. I hope to come back to try them for dinner.
Unfortunate experience. The food is always good there. You’ll always walk away happy with a great culinary experience; however, the hostesses were extremely rude about us walking up with no reservation. We ended up at the bar and then waited 20 minutes to get water. We walked out after waiting that long.
Everything was delicious! They made me a great mocktail that wasn't on the menu. Service was also excellent. Photo is Squid Ink Fettuccine.
We had an excellent dinner at Saint Leo. Ate at the bar due to no tables available but service was excellent. Bar staff and friendly and efficient. We had the squid ink pasta and several pizzas. All delicious. Nice wine and cocktail selection. An awesome dining spot in Oxford.
