Not the Newks I remember. Seems like it has changed a lot in past 2 years. I ordered a salad - not impressed. They only had romaine lettuce, the cucumbers were cut way too big, and some of the lettuce was spoiled. Also, it was 8:00, sign said they closed at 9:00, but they were already closing down store when we ordered. Probably won’t be back to this one, or I will try the one on University Avenue.

Iordered a 1/2 pimento cheese with a BOWL of pasta salad. Not a side of pasta salad, a bowl. I paid $13 for this. Upon checking my bag, I received a side size of pasta salad. I asked the man at the front about this, and he said that this 4 oz sized cup was a bowl. I have worked at Newks and know that a BOWL of pasta salad or fruit is the size of a to-go cup of soup. After stating this, he says no that is the bowl. Extremely disappointed in the customer service, or lack thereof.
Under staff ! Employees are not trained correctly! As I was sitting there, I included had to go get my food off the ready tray ! I had to take onions off my order that I didn't want when I ordered! I will probably be back ! Get it together, guys and gals !
We ate shrimp po’ boy . Its not actually what we ate in New Orleans didn’t like . And we took chicken salads which was good so far . But environments and stuffs are friendly.
Disgusting ? plastic pieces in my daughters pizza. So disappointed in this once good restaurant.
I wasn’t overly impressed with the amount of service I received, or my cold mac n cheese. the new newk’s philly was alright, just the taste of the peppers on it were overwhelming. also the floors were slick and the tables were a mess.
Disappointed!!Placed an order for curbside pickup online because they would not let me place an order over the phone. When I arrived to pickup my order, I checked in online, and parked in the designated parking spot for curbside pickup. After waiting approx. 10 minutes, I walked into the store. Two employees were sitting down not doing anything. When I told the lady I was there to pick up my order, instead of getting up to hand it to me, she pointed across the room at a shelf with several other orders on it. I had to search through several orders to find my name. My Newk’s Q had ZERO sauce on it, and my sweet tea had hardly any ice in it. It will be a very long time before I return to this location for service, if I ever.
Very busy, but relatively quick. An item of mine was forgotten, but I was already on the other side of town. So after I called up there, I asked to get it remade at the university store, to which he said no. But instead of leaving it at that, he bought and paid for the sandwich to be remade at the university store so I wouldn't have had to drive all the way back.
Disappointed!!
