Went for lunch and ordered steak fajitas. They were very obviously pre-cooked in large batches as they arrived suspiciously fast and the platter was not even sizzling. Worst fajitas I have ever had anywhere. Guacamole on the side plate was old and brown. They tried to hide the brown, too. Salsa tasted like spaghetti sauce--no spice at all and no chunks of vegetables--very obviously straight out of a can. Avoid this place if you want good, freshly cooked food.
This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants of all time. The food is extremely quality, always fresh and very tasty. There is usually a wait but it is worth it if you're in the mood for really good food!

Service and food quality were great! My wife and I stopped here after a doctor appointment. El Charro stands out from your typical Mexican restaurant. We were quickly seated and served. We'll definitely be returning again!
Such a beautiful and relaxing atmosphere. The staff was very friendly, especially our waiter Collin who was very attentive. The food was good, but honestly slightly overpriced and in need of a little more flavor. Overall, it's nice and I would visit every once in a while.
One of the Best Restaurants we have ever ate at. The Restaurant is so beautiful on the inside and the whole place was so clean and nice. There was Christmas music playing too. My wife and I were seated at a table by the window it was very comfortable.The menu is very easy to read and the prices are very good.I can tell you once you get your food you will say WOW. The food is absolutely delicious and very very good.The Staff were so friendly and helpful. The tables were nicely prepared. This is the Best Restaurant in Mississippi. OMG!!! As a server myself, I never write negative reviews, but this one is warranted. Our server was extremely rude. We weren't demanding, but when we asked for one appetizer, he blankly nodded and walked away. He never even properly greeted us, just dropped the menus on the table. After he took our order and after the food runner brought our food out, he didn't check on us once, just rushed past our table multiple times. At the end of our meal, he didn't ask if we wanted dessert or even how our food was, he just dropped the check on the table. The entirety of our visit, he was solemn, annoyed and not good at concealing the fact that he was just waiting for us to leave. I have never felt like more unwanted and like an inconvenience at a restaurant than I did last night. Besides that though, the food was great and the hostesses and the rest of the staff were very sweet and polite.
Beautiful space. I love the plants hanging from the ceiling. We sat outside. I ordered the chicken tinga tostadas. The chicken was moist and the sauce was flavorful. I would order it again. My husband liked his chimichanga but wished the shell was a bit crunchier. My MIL got a taco salad and said it was fine.Definitely coming back to try the margaritas. The table next to us ordered several rounds and they looked so good.
I was a little skeptical being from Texas, but this was very good Mexican food. The atmosphere was wonderful. Very clean.
