Abners is always one of our favorite places for lunch. The tenders are always very tasty. Last time we were there the staff wasn't very friendly which was a surprise to us.
They're famous for their chicken. For some reason when I went here, their sign outside was advertising something else besides their chicken. Who in their right mind would go to a place famous for their chicken and order something other than chicken?! That would be like only wanting to watch Steph Curry when he's knitting. From my understanding Steph isn't a famous knitter, so I could care less if he can knit a mediocre beanie. So when I saw the sign outside of Abner's I did my best to ignore it. I'm not going to try whatever their sign is advertising until their famous for that too or I've tried their famous chicken enough times. This was my first time trying their chicken and I hate saying this, but I don't know how they became famous for it. Unless all the chickens that they kill and serve here are famous amongst other chickens in their chicken community. If that was the case, it must suck to be a famous chicken. Anyway, it still tasted pretty good.
The food was excellent. I had a baked potatoes and 2 chicken strips on the side.
Abner in Orford is so unprofessional guy came from the back to talk to his friend s while people are literally waiting for there food the manager didn't say a word what kind of place is this
The best Chicken restaurant on the square with a variety of options.
This is the 8.88 box of chicken strips with slaw i was supppse to have gotten. Drink incuded was over 12 bucks ..and did i mention waited 52 mins for this and asked twice for it that quick. Never again. Might as well close this one just lile the other side of town.
I went here last night, the food is generally so so. I will never go back again. The clerk told me that my order would not come with slaw because it had not come in on the truck that day. Disappointed I accepted the reality of the Biden-supply chain issues. After she rang me out I then watched as the kitchen staff setup about a dozen cups of slaw, and she then put them in the container. If this had been some kind of a joke I would have been mildly annoyed, but would have laughed. I really assumed there would be slaw in my order, but noooo! No person anywhere deserves to be treated this way. My family and I will no longer patronize this restaurant and I would strongly encourage you to stay away!!!!!
In town on business, decided to try this place. Ordered online for pickup. Out of potatoes and pasta salad when I arrived to pick it up. Substitute for sweet potato. No slaw in the box when took back to the room. Not impressed.
Was good food customer service could use a boost but is to be expected during these covid times good helps hard to find I suppose.
Abner’s has gotten so bad!!!! We received our delivery tonight and as always there are items missing. There was no cole slaw and each order had a side missing! This has become so common with them. We have attempted to call and no one EVER answers! They do NOT care about their customers and I would NOT recommend any give them your hard earned money!!
