Great food, atmosphere, and service.

Food was mediocre. our waitress was so kind and helpful to me and my family, so this negative review has nothing to do with her. However the management of this place is the absolute worst i have EVER seen. The way he disrespectfully talks to not only customers but his employees is absolutely ridiculous. I’m not sure if he is the owner or just the manager, but either way he does not belong in the service industry. As I waited in line to be sat I overheard him yelling at a customer who was upset about missing items in their togo order, which I would say is pretty reasonable. Now I have come here several times and never have I had a good interaction with that man. I have watched him make a waitress cry IN FRONT OF THE ENTIRE BAR not only is that not professional, but so disrespectful to that young lady. I feel bad for EVERYONE that comes in contact with him especially his employees. If he is willing to disrespect customers and employees in front of everyone I can only imagine how he speaks to people when no one else can hear. I refuse to support a business that allows that kind of behavior and feel it’s important to share this information.

Service was good and so was the food

Poor service and rude owner as noted by another reviewer. I frequented this restaurant over the years since their opening, often picking up lunch for myself and co-workers. Each time, I'd almost always have conversation with the owner who runs the bar. However, night time takeouts are awful!!! Mind you, the same owner (gentlemen running the bar) is typically there. Twice after placing a to go order, 2 weeks apart I was told they did not have the order. Each time I was interrogated as if I never placed the order, only to eventually be informed that it had been mistakenly cancelled in their system. On the 2nd occassion that this happened, I asked to speak with the manager/owner to inform him of what was happening and he replied "what do you want me to do about it" all while proceeding to refund my money never giving any eye contact or acknowledgement. He was just down right rude, dimissive and attempted falsely escalate our conversation when I pointed out how rude he was acting. It appears, all is good at this restaurant, until you encounter a problem with their service. He was not apologetic and could care less about my problem or whether I patroned him again... This happened over 6mths ago, but I felt extremely compelled to post my rating, as his attitude and behavior was unacceptable. BEAWARE!

My husband knows I like sushi, so he took me there as a surprise for Valentine's Day weekend. The server was nice and courteous (a young white male), but honestly the food itself was lackluster. I ordered sushi rolls and my husband ordered pineapple fried rice. We also ordered appetizers of crab wontons and shumai. It started out decent with the shumai and wontons. They gave me a decent portion of both, and they were tasty. For the entrees, we were not as pleased. My husband said the pineapple fried rice was ok but not the best, and it honestly didn't taste like other pineapple fried rice we've ordered - it tasted more like just fried rice with some pineapples thrown in...no curry flavor or anything. The sushi was a major disappointment. I see a lot of positive reviews for their sushi, so I was definitely not expecting this. The rolls were small and the fish was LACKING. They make a lot of rolls with crunchy tempura flakes, and fill it up with that so it overpowers the very small pieces of fish. I asked for a roll with crab (kani) and salmon, and the kani must have been sliced so thin that I (nor the server) couldn't even see it in there, and I definitely didn't taste any. After a disappointing lunch, I was looking forward to dessert. They have green tea and red bean ice cream on the menu so I ordered one of those (flavors that you can't get other places), but the server came back shortly after and said they stopped offering those a while back because it wasn't being ordered a lot and was just getting freezer burn. I appreciated his honesty, but after a unsatisfying lunch this was the final disappointment. I'll stick with Fuji Cafe in Collierville.

By far one of the best sushi places. My husband and I had the volcano roll and tempura shrimp roll and everything tasted so fresh. The kung pao chicken was excellent too. Can't recommend this place enough!!!

Never order from here worst service ever

Not a family friendly business, more like a bar. Management felt that it was appropriate for my 7 year old daughter to sit at a bar full of much older men (including owner) who were all of course drinking. One of my child's favorite restaurants, but we will not be returning.

Our family’s favorite place around for Asian cuisine. Never had a bad experience. Great food and great service.

ive really enjoyed my experience at red fish and has become my favorite local place to eat.
