Walked in around 8 in the evening. We waited a couple minutes for a booth with 2 other servers asked to seat us as well. Staff very friendly and polite. Ordered fried pickles which were great and the chicken pasta. Both orders were seasoned great. Relaxing atmosphere and comfy. Restaurant is rated at 4.3 but to me it is very underrated and should be a 5. It's a branch off the typical beach restaurant with their style and food. Not heavily greasy. Prices may be slight higher, but worth it.
The coconut shrimp salad was excellent. The candied walnuts and cranberries were a nice touch. The shrimp were cooked perfectly. It ended up being just a little too sweet for me with the raspberry vinnegarett. I would order again but with a different dressing.

The food was so good! Service excellent! Friendly and happy to serve up good food and memories! Highly recommend. It’s rare to experience genuinely happy people in the service industry!
Nice facility for the space they have - in a great traffic location. The food was okay, yet I was a little disappointed for the hype it received; I honestly felt I was eating in at a fast food joint. Our server was professional, but he didn't wow us. He wasn't as attentive and because his section was a little busy, we were rushed to decide what we wanted to drink and to place our order. Maybe if I return, I'll try a different selection and possibly eat at the bar.
Popped in here on a Tuesday night. Overall it was a good experience. It's a typical coastal town fried seafood place. 90% fried, in a basket, or on bread with fries and coleslaw and or tartar sauce. Personally I'm not a big fan of this type of place but my wife and little one wanted to come. Overall the restaurant was clean and bright. The staff was very courteous friendly and attentive. The food came out hot and fresh. Overall good experience.
Very pleasantly surprised! I've been to Shrimp Basket restaurants all over the South, some good, some not so good. The one in Ocean Springs is beautiful inside and out. The restaurant is clean and well-decorated. Service was fast and efficient. Food was very good. Will definitely go back and take guests when they visit.
We just moved here and this was our first visit to Shrimp Basket. Just excellent on all fronts! Oysters on the half shell were the best I have had. Shrimp tacos great. The key lime pie world class. Service was excellent and we were frequently asked if we needed anything. Look forward to returning soon!
