My husband and I went this morning before heading back to Georgia, the kolaches were great, but for it to be the first thing in the morning we got cold old donuts, tasted like they were from the day before and it was very disappointing.. I wanted to take them back and get my money back because we got a half dozen but since we had such a long trip ahead of us i just let it be and threw them out.. very dissatisfied. Krispy Kreme doughnuts are now better in my opinion, but the kolaches were great.
I love Shipley's but this mornings experience was not pleasant. Myself along with several other people were ignored for at least 10 to 15 minutes in the lobby of the store. The girl that was working (after taking MANY drive thru orders before even acknowledging us) finally said that "she was by herself and that technically the lobby was closed and there were a lot of cars in the drive thru, so it might be a while before she could wait on us." I have never been in a business that ignored physical people in their lobby and let the drive thru take priority. There were 5 other workers in the store, so she was not by herself, but they were obviously doing their jobs making and glazing the doughnuts. A young man from the back finally came up and helped us after several people walked out. Disappointed is an absolute understatement!!
Went here in the afternoon great people, average donuts.

I went by to pick up donuts for my students but the lady at the window said they didn’t open until 8:30. I just had a hard time believing this so at 8:30 I called the manager and he stated that he had “complications” getting to work. It takes two hours to get the donuts ready from start to finish. The manager told me I was welcome to come back by.
Nothing better on a cold Saturday morning than a super hot fresh breakfast kolache & coffee. Great start to a weekend. Yes, you deserve it.
The service was excellent. The Donuts were fresh and warm. The Ham and Cheese Kolaches are so yummy. Friendly and quick staff. The Cherry Donut is amazing.
Get the Kelachi (sp?) Delicious!!!!
