Sides where great! Ribs were ok but over all have been back 100 times and would go again.
BBQ done right, sauce is THICK and tasty. Mac and cheese is real. Real good. Price is fair despite Bidenflation. I saved half of my dinner and had it for breakfast. Restrooms and store portion is nicely kept as is restaurant area.
Very likely the best ribs I have ever eaten. That's saying a lot coming from a BBQ fanatic. The ribs are absolutely off the chain good. Worth traveling for even.
Really good BBQ will stop again when out of town that way!!!
I was very disappointed with Pappy’s today. My friend and I went to Pappy’s for lunch today, we ordered two plates: (1) bake chicken, fries, macaroni and cheese with lemonade (1) bake chicken, fries, potato salad with lemonade. When we got back to work, we were both VERY disappointed, the chicken wasn’t cooked. It was RAW, the outside looked good, but the inside was raw. I called back to the store and was asked if I will hold on for a minute I said yes, and the cashier hung up the phone (I’m sure that was an accident.) So, I called back several more times before I got the cashier. I told her about our problem, and this is her words, “Well you will just have to bring the whole plate back here.” I explain to her that we were on our lunch and that I couldn’t do that. She said, “Well you will just have to bring the whole plate back here when you get off work.” I said ma’am we were able to eat some of the side items. She said “Well all I can say is before we can do anything you will have to bring the whole plate back.” Never again will we be going back to Pappy’s on hwy 39 in Meridian, MS. That was $28 wasted!!!
The Best BBQ I have had lately. I ordered the chicken plate (1/2 chicken) with fried okra and potato salad. The chicken was so flavorful didn't need the sauce and juicy. I couldn't stop eating......
