Wednesday May 25, 2022, around 3pm. I ordered the 1/2 shrimp fettuccine, it was decent, quite expensive for the little I paid for.I walked in, half way greeted. Order placed, I sit to wait, apparently, a man who works there put in the wrong order, the unfriendly lady takes it to the customers, it was supposed to be a large pizza, not small, she goes to tells him (the cook), he starts telling her, it needs to be re-wrung up over & over again, (black man). Then he ask her who did the order she tells him, well he needs to redo it, she stated he was off & gone for the day, (the cook) said well you need to redo it & just charge the difference. I was like wow, he couldn't be nicer about it. I finally get my food, she just handed it to me, didn't say thank you, have a nice day, not a word. Sarcastically, I said thank you, have a nice day & I will not be back.
Sad to say that the one time I ate here, the food did not agree with me. Strange because Italian food has never been an issue before.
Terrible. They can't track orders at all. They don't know what orders go to what table to the point that they will give your order to someone that came in after you and ordered something similar. It's every single time I've been there either me or one of my coworkers are left without our food and we have to leave our lunchbreak without food. It's ridiculous. Not to mention it's expensive and the food is mediocre at best. If I could give zero stars I would.
First, the pizza was absolutely fantastic. Second, the atmosphere is second to none. The staff was incredibly friendly. I brought two young and rambunctious children, and the chefs were entertaining my three year old daughter with her questions on what they were making and what they should be adding. The team there was clearly enjoying their evening, and made a huge impression on my entire family.Furthermore, my wife left her phone at the table as we left. On our return trip to pick it up, without prompting , one of the ladies there ran the phone out to our car. Just a wonderful overall experience that I would recommend to anyone .
I love this place!! Everything on the menu is terrific! My favorites are the Philly cheesesteak pizza or pasta. The deserts are one of a kind. I live the atmosphere and the friendly staff.Everything is made fresh and you’re able to watch it being made. I could eat here 3 times a week!
We used to love Nick and Als. I don’t know what has happened to it but we used to eat there every Friday night and now barely eat there because every time there is a problem. The food takes forever if you even get your order and it’s so expensive for what you get. We’ve had 4 call Ins in the last few months and in everyone of them something has been wrong. Tonight I called in a pizza and they said 35 minutes. My husband got there in 45 minutes and they couldn’t find the order. It was never made! So they make him wait and dont even offer a discount or anything . If this was the first time I would never say anything but this has been going on for 2 years. Not one time in at least 10 orders has our order been correct. There seems to never be anyone in charge. A few months ago the employees were actually screaming at each other bc no one knew what they were doing. So sad to see such a great restaurant go down like this
It's on the expensive side. My meatballs weren't fully cooked (to my liking), the staff was nice but they do not wear mask and some of the staff doesn't use gloves.
Nick & Al's was ok. But, if u r using a debit/credit card there 's a 4% charge fir using da card. That's crazy. So, cash would be apporiate. Gee Xtra money on top of your purchase. What's da purpose of using a card????
I've eaten there several times but today a cook by the name of Johnathan was very pleasant he greeted everyone when they walked in door he was very personable with guest and made everyone feel welcome. Him and a few other guys said to have a blessed night as people left. Great restaurant with great staff. Keep up the good work
We were traveling through town on a Wednesday night and wanted to try a local place. We ordered at the counter....a side salad and a cauliflower crust Luigis combo pizza. They brought the food to our table in a timely manner. The side salad was big enough for us both to share. The pizza has lots of toppings but little sauce. It was ok for a cauliflower crusted pizza. It was not the best pizza I've had, but wasn't the worst. The place is a little dingy... but it did say New York style, and maybe that's what they meant.
