A great restaurant. Feels like family there❤️
Lunch was fair...overpriced for the portions. We have been coming here for many years and today was likely the last time. Just not as good as it used to be.
Headed home to PA from NOLA we stopped by this sweet little local spot for lunch on a Wednesday. We enjoyed our time here, the food was lovely. I had the chicken and dumplings with cabbage and corn and husband had the shrimp wrap and fries. We shared a piece of black bottom pie for dessert that I won’t soon forget. The restaurant was full of lovely antique touches including salved tin from the local opera house. Everyone was super kind and welcoming. Hopefully we’ll make it back through Meridian to visit this 86 year old institution again someday. If you’re passing through stop here… no fast food, get a real meal from kind people.
The service was prompt and cordial. The hamburger steak was tasty but I thought the onions in the gravy were a bit overcooked. The fried okra was the best I've had as it was not overdone.
Best place in town for entertainment on Friday night would highly recommend both food and sports bar
Love News!! The people are awesome and the atmosphere is home!
Good food. Great atmosphere
The food was very disappointing. Especially for the price of a lunch plate of veggies and a dry hamburger steak.
Very nice people. I got a cheeseburger. The problem was the bun fell apart as I was eating it. They need bigger buns and better quality. My wife had shrimp salad. It was pretty good. I've had cheeseburgers before and they were good.
Stopped for pie and coffee. It was delicious
