Worst IHOP experience I’ve ever had. Waited 10 mins to be seated. Only three other tables being used in the entire restaurant, seven employees sitting around doing nothing. They saw me standing and did nothing. Finally one came over to seat me. It took several minutes to get drinks. Placed order for scrambled eggs and was brought fried eggs instead. Several people walked out from not being attended to. I know this is 1st world problems, but I’m so tired of poor work ethics and sorry humans.
I have thought about this for 3 days now and I am quite sure this is the 2nd worst IHOP I have ever been in. Floor was slick and sticky, it was horribly warm and humid enough for me to use the menu as a fan and the napkin to wipe my brow, ceiling had enough dirt from the a/c vents to grow a crop of corn and the food was just, well, horrible! I can honestly say I will go out of my way to NOTeat there again!
We tried to get breakfast at 7:30 on a Saturday morning and they had no servers. There were no other customers at the location and I'm assuming it must be a slow time with limited staffing. We waited for 10 minutes for someone to show, no luck, so walked over to Waffle House. Only reason I gave a two is because the one lady that was in the store was very nice and apologized they had no one available.
We just ate at Meridian Ms location. No one was at the Hostess desk when we walked in. I had to find a waitress. Everyone was in the kitchen. Restrooms were filthy. Once we sat down I asked if this visit was going to be a good experience or a bad one since the Laurel location has been shut down for the same reasons. The service was terrible. We asked for small drinks. We were charged for larges. The prices on the menu did not reflect the prices on our ticket nor were we told when we sat down about the prices being different than in the menu. It took 30 plus minutes to be served. We were not allowed to sit where we wanted to by a window to watch our vehicle. For two omelets, no sides, bacon and three orange juices cost us almost $64. I regret to inform you that this location is terrible and we will never dine at IHOP ever again. When the manager came out to check on us, she never made eye contact while talking to me. We will make sure everyone knows about how we were treated. Thank you for your consideration.
They are never open after 2:00 am! Every time I call it’s an excuse on why the store is closed. And every time I go there the front doors are always locked. Like come on are you guys trying to make money?
The waiter was pleasant. The service very slow, 30 minutes, for just a couple people being in there. Ordered "Cheese Crusted Cheese Melt". This is not my first time ordering this sandwich from an IHOP, but this is the only time that I could barely stomach eating half of it. It had so much butter on it, that you really couldn't taste anything else. It was so squishy from all the butter.
Waitress was friendly without smiling and had a good memory with our order.The music was horribly loud and poor when one desires a peaceful place to eat.$10.00 was for 2 orange juices and one coffee, we weren't asked if we wanted small or large sizes of the juice. Only one syrup was served, no options, no coffee carafe on the table..had to ask for refills.The fried eggs were very greasy like they were spooned onto the plate but after sopping the grease up with napkins, the food was good.The booth seat was an eyesore, ripped or melted down to the foam for such a young store...needs replaced.
Terrible restaurant the people are rude that work there. The restaurant is dirty and nasty. I honestly don’t see how they stay open ever time I’ve been I’m the only person there but it’s also hard to eat at a restaurant when they set hours but open and close when they want to. The restaurant really needs to just close.
Absolute garbage. Order was incorrect and food was missing. Waited 45 minutes and the order was never corrected. Never got drink refills, and waitress was rude. Couldn’t wait to pay and leave. Horrid experience and HORRIBLE employees. I wish I could give negative 10 stars ?
For anyone who has had an experience with poor service and slow service, try it again. They have changed. They were very busy with nearly every table filled, yet no one was waiting on a table in foyer and we got seated immediately. They took order right away and brought food out fast. Of course the food and portions were great as always.
