Overall good food, the wait staff need to be upfront about not free unlimited refills on soda like most restaurants have. They charged for additional soda but did not tell us it only had one refill then it would a charge for another drink. The menu need to list pricing for drinks and desserts.

My vegetables for my chicken fajita, where , not done or hott for that matter my quesadilla was cold. and all I feel like I was over charge for what I got.
Great food. My wife had a total with chicharones, ham, chorizo, avocado, pineapple and greens. Very generous proportions. I had tacos -- lengua, tripa and al pastor. All on point.

Don Cheques was recommended by an associate at work. I was looking for a good mexican restaurant. I have experienced two other locations, one in Philadelphia and one in Meridian. they were good but had their flaws; way too expensive for portion sizes.Don Cheques follows suit. the food is good, but expensive (8 tacos, small burrito and pork torta 42.00) the torta had a very good flavor but the meat was tough. same with the steak tacos: good flavor, tough meat. possibly due to product sitting for long periods.I am willing to try again just earlier in the day.
