First time ever having Cook Out and was not impressed with this location. Half my order was missing; ordered a burger, a wrap, two sides, and two shakes. Got one burger, one piece of dry chicken with no honey mustard sauce in a stale tortilla, one shake, and an order of soggy onion rings. Part of my order was cancelled and I was only notified after I received the bag, without any ask of if I wanted to substitute or order another side. No straw either, so can't even drink my shake until I get home, an hour from now.
Placed order for 2 plates. One plate with a drink. One plate without a drink. When I get to window, I hear older guy tell the young guy to only give me one drink. So, I look at the receipt and I’m charged for 2 drinks. I turn around and requested the drink that I clearly paid for but did not receive. I requested a coke! Got my drink- STILL NOT WHAT I REQUESTED. I think it was done out of spite. Absolutely ridiculous.
Ok I use to love this place but here recently there employees have just stopped.caring about doing there job correctly or politely after my order was taken in drive thru from a lady with an attitude I was asked to pull forward which I did and waited almost 30 min before I went inside too find out they gave my food to someone else so I had to then wait another 10 min or so for them to remake my order not once was I offered so much as a soda while I waited in the hot sun for them to fix it and was pretty much ignored my the cashier when I asked for ketchup it's not worth dealing with employees whom obviously don't understand the food industry
We don't have these in Texas, but I always enjoy a stop at Cook Out when traveling east of the Mississippi River. They serve great chocolate/banana shakes!
The restaurant was clean and well kept, and the drive thru was much faster than most Cookout locations I've been too. The only downside, the lady doing the drive thru was all about getting your order and through the drive thru quickly, which actually made it take longer. She wasn't listening nor communicating very well. I think I had to give her our order 3-4 times, because of interruptions and not being able to understand her very thick Southern went. I will say, the food was not, fresh and the order was accurate too.
EVERY NIGHT THEY SAY THEY'RE OUT OF ALMOST EVERYTHING ON THE MENU! Why even stay open?!! And the prices have gone up but the quality hasn't. And their speaker is awful, they can never understand what you're saying. Only pros is they are the only place open late in Meridian (besides taco bell but good luck getting an answer at the speaker)
One of the few places in the area that is open after 9 pm.The food was pretty good and the staff in the drive through was very friendly.We will absolutely make this stop again in our travels!
The totally messed up all of my order. The only thing they got right were the drinks and that's because we fixed them ourselves. The food was subpar and honestly, I've had better in other cookouts across the state. My kids were so disappointed.
Worst experience I ever had a cook out. Bun was rubbery and the meat was way over cooked. Too bad it was a take out order. I called and complained and they asked what did I want them to do about. They blamed me and said I should have checked it before I pulled away. Great way to do business
Always a good move when I'm feeling a little homesick for NC. Food tastes just as good here as it does there! Hope they eventually move some locations into TX. Never can go wrong with a tray cheddar style with a fresh shake to go with.
