We have eaten here at least a dozen times and, despite an occasional massive crowd, it has been wonderful every single time. The quality of the food, service and ambience, matches the cost well. The special is usually in the Bull’s eye. I wish it were open more.

Caesar salad is to be made with lettuce, ussually romaine. NOT CABBAGE (or similar leafy green). Yuck. My entree, Redfish, and that of my wife, Pork Chop, was nicely prepared and presented, but pretty tasteless. Rating is VERY GOOD because Mermaid Cafe, for the price, is better than most restaurants in the area, which are more typically overrated and over priced.
We celebrated my wife's birthday here. Everything was delicious, especially thier lamb chop special with rosemary risotto. The service was outstanding! Management was super helpful and accommodating. Best of all, our server, McKenzie worked her tail off, making sure everyone in our party of 13 had an excellent time. Thank you Mermaid Cafe!
One of the best kept secrets of Madison county. Great food and service at a reasonable price. Awesome bar to seat at and watch games while you eat too.
Over crowded and wait time was super long. I suggest you don't waste your time.
