Be Optimistic before choosing Skepticism! I was honestly afraid to go inside once my husband found where this restaurant was located. I’m sure the owners saw the surprise on my face when we entered and were asked “are you all eating with us today?” I responded, “we are trying”. Why did I say this? Because we often say, “don’t judge a book by its cover” while judging it. I’m so glad that we didn’t turn around and leave. The hosts were kind, friendly, welcoming, and efficient. My husband couldn’t remember who suggested that we eat here, but we were glad that we did. The food was amazing and seasoned well. To anyone looking for a place of comfort and relaxation to dine, this is it. Many future blessings to you all at “The Tackle Box”.
We love the fish & coleslaw but our daughter came from Purvis last night and ordered the steak. It was cooked exactly as she ordered, she gave us a taste and it was amazing! We will definitely get the steak next time!

I bought the oyster plate and the oysters were awful.
The wife, sister-in-law and I ate at the Tacklebox and were very satisfied. Wife had the whole catfish, sister in law had stuffed crab and I had catfisf filet. Also had onion rings appetizer, could have been a few more but they were very good. All food was very good.
