We got the 6 rib plates with Mac and cheese okra and potato salad. Sweet tea. Ribs were good and tender . Great flavor for dry ribs. Sauce on the side was good. Great portion size. Everything was good . I would stop by for a take home plate to make two meals of if I lived closer .

We enjoyed The Smokehouse of Laurel our first night we visited Laurel. Delicious. Best brisket I’ve ever eaten. Husband enjoyed the ribs… also yummy. The potato casserole was sooo good. Should’ve took some to go. So if you visit Laurel make sure you stop.
Great little place to get some BBQ. I had the Ribs, Pork & Beef plate with coleslaw and potato salad. The wife had the Chicken & Beef with baked beans and coleslaw. The food was well prepared and seasoned fine. The bbq sauce on table was good.The staff was very pleasant and the atmosphere was that of a hunting camp.We will definitely come back in the future.
Really glad we saw the restaurant early today & came bk. The owner was extremely nice, as was everyone we interacted with. Food was good & we are stuffed. Would highly recommend, & stop by again if we are ever bk. in the area.
Doug and his team have produced quality BBQ for years. I’ve made the Smokehouse a weekly part of my diet for probably 5 years now, and I have not once regretted stopping by. In particular, their wings are never talked about but incredibly underrated and their smoked chicken is easily the best in town. Trying to find good BBQ, especially in the South where standards are so high, can sometimes be hard to do, but Laurel’s answer is simple: just look for the pig.
