Wonderful service and steak!!!!!
So thankful we discovered this restaurant during our travels. The bartender recommended the 16oz boned in pork chop and it did not disappoint! The bartender staff had us feeling like a local. I’m eager to return!
This was our first experience at The Loft and we were not disappointed. My wife and I arrived shortly after it opened today (Friday) and there were just a few in line in front of us. We were seated within minutes and our server (Austin) arrived at our table within 60 seconds. The Creole Shrimp Pasta and the 14oz Ribeye were delicious. There was a mountain of shrimp on top of the pasta that was enough for 2 meals. Really enjoyed the ambience and the service. Will definitely be returning.
We really wanted to like The Loft, but it fell short on the essentials. The atmosphere was definitely better than the food. Our redfish was so tough that we needed a steak knife to cut it. Perhaps our standards for the food were too high, but we also bizarrely found a piece of clothing (I know…weird) in one of our dishes - presumably from someone in the kitchen. We (quietly) brought it to the staff’s attention and nothing was done to rectify like offer to bring another, remove that charge from the bill, etc.
My daughter and I dined there based on all the hype the locals give it. It's a boring venue, they wouldn't know a good wine if it knocked them on the head and the food is so-so. Not worth the effort.
Excellent place to eat! Food was great! Recommend the fried green tomatoes appetizer and white Sangria! Portions were generous and wait staff was great! Our waitress (I failed to get name) was helpful and attentive. Highly recommend this restaurant .. 2 pasta entrees, 2 glasses of red wine, 2 glasses white sangria, fried green tomatoes, cheesecake with ALL the toppings and tip under $120!!
My husband and I enjoyed an absolutely wonderful dining experience at the Loft while visiting Laurel. There was a bit of road work in that area, so it took some “navigating” to get to the restaurant, but Sooo worth it! The food was phenomenal- large portions and done to perfection. My husband ordered a steak and said it was the best he’s had. The bar staff was friendly and attentive. I’d consider this the “Cheers” of Laurel.
Best Ribeye steaks ever! Very lightly seasoned and very tender. Our waitress was a young girl who treated us like queens! Great rustic atmosphere with low lighting and not noisy. It was a great way to end our day after strolling through the many shops in Laurel.
One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The white staff was wonderful and very courteous. The food was excellent and came out quickly. Definitely would be one that I will try again. Had fried oysters and they were to die for
It’s been at least 3 years since we’ve been back here and it’ll probably be the last . Last time here the food was on point but the service was so so !! Tonight the food was mediocre at best and we never got our salads, the service was terrible and that’s being nice ! Our server seemed to be either overwhelmed or more focused on a bigger table !I have no problem paying $203 plus tip(and I did leave a tip even though the server really didn’t deserve it ) but at that price,I have higher expectations and they just weren’t met !!My steak was ordered medium ands that’s how it came, but it was very very tough and bland tasting .I had to find someone to get my server just so we could pay to leave, and with the same excuse,” busy with a table of 18 !”Like many establishments in the area,it starts off good but slowly deteriorates !The Loft-thanks but no thanks . I’ll spend my money elsewhere from now on .
