I always get an ultimate salad from here and it has been good up until today. My salad was missing the ham and barely has any of the other ingredients on it. If it wasn't for me being in a rush I would have taken it back and got my money back.
We rolled into Jackson at night on our family road trip. Our nearby hotel was in complete disarray so our rooms weren’t ready - we headed to Newks to grab a quick dinner. The steak salad was delicious. The shrimp po’ boy and pizzas were also fantastic. Service was polite and fast. Restaurant was clean. This was my first visit ever to a Newks, but I will definite seek them out again on future trips.
The grab and go salads are now half the size they once were….but still the same price. It’s a rip off.
The food is/was great, but they changed their menu. They got rid of everything I liked to eat, mainly the grilled steak sandwich and Tippah county caviar.
We had a table of six. We had many different entrées and all were below average. Very disappointed in the food the service the quality and it was way over price for what we received.

I love Newks and went to this location today and the employees seemed to be doing a lot of messing around and joking in the back area. I ordered a pizza and the dough on the pizza was really soggy as if the pizza was not cooked all the way, I’m not pleased and disappointed.
Affordable, good quality, quick and easy meal for the entire family.Their salads are amazing, kids menu has good portions.
My experience today (Order #151) was less than stellar. Sat at my table and waited while others paid, got their order, and almost finished. Finally got up to check on my order, and it was half-cold when I got it - cheese on the pizza slightly hardened which told me it had sat a while.The service and food are usually good, but today they missed the mark completely.
The food and service were awesome. Please try the Pepper Jack Crawfish soup if it is on the menu when you visit, it was outstanding. It was actually more like a bisque, and they were generous with the crawfish tails. My husband got the Debra with Bacon Mac and Cheese, and we shared a Margherita pizza with no tomatoes. This particular restaurant is in a great location too.
