It was a nice atmosphere, my first time being there. The Zucchini Chips were amazing, too bad they were out of the black bean burger.
This is definitely more pub than brewery. Only one waitress and one bartender on the night we went and it was fairly busy. They were both friendly and stayed busy helping customers. Disappointed that they had 10 of their own brews on the menu with only 3 being available to serve (out of the others). They do have guest taps and cocktails. Burger was standard but tasted fresh.
The food was excellent. I recommend the Spanish omelet. Service was spot on and attentive.
waiting for the theater to open, just for a quick beer. Ended up 3 hrs later after catfish and hamburger, beer and drinks, live music. We both had a great time. Good bartenders..
Normally my husband and I are very pleased with The Porter. The food, the people, the entertainment, the drinks-all top notch. On Friday 4/22/2022 myself and a friend walked in at 8:02 and it was busy enough that we asked a waitress walking around if we could sit at the back bar and she said yes because allOf the tables were full. We also asked for menus, she had just brought a gentleman next to us at the back bar a menu. That waitress then proceeded to ignore us and never came back to us for 10 minutes. So after 10 minutes I noticed two people left from the front bar and there were seats available so we moved up there hoping to get food and drinks. The bartender saw us looking at the menu and she also ignored us until 8:26 and when we asked to order food we were told the kitchen was closed and she had just put in the last order. We sat for 24 minutes in hopes of food because I wanted my friend to try the food since my husband and I frequent this establishment. I was not aware the kitchen closed at 8:30 and at no time did anyone tell us, even though she saw us looking at menus the entire time we waited for her to address us to even get a drink order. We will probably not be back. Again-I do understand it was Friday and busy but that does not mean good customer service stops. The bartender was extremely rude.

great small local pub that makes a selection of their own brews. food was really good and the atmosphere was great.
Good food, shrimp and grits and meatloaf. Staff knowledgeable about their brews and helpful in choosing just the right ones. Vanilla porter and one new one called nutter butter were delicious. Pleasant pub atmosphere. Good experience.
The Porter waitress helped with the selection of their craft beers to our individual taste that we really enjoyed. The burger of the month and the philly cheesesteak were very good. The onion rings were excellent. We try to eat local when we go out and we will try this restaurant again.
Visited here on a drive through of southern Mississippi and was thoroughly pleased. The beer was spot on, the loaded chicken fries were great, and the 2 ladies and 1 gentlemen behind the bar were absolutely fantastic and very knowledgeable and helpful to us about the area. Will definitely stop in again!
