The ribs were smoked just like I expected but the side items were horrible just to be clearly honestThe mac&cheese was so cheesy I couldn't enjoy it and the bake beans taste like they poured them out of the can and sprinkle salt on it. As a cook, I did not enjoy my side items at all.
I don't know why but Stricks ribs are not as good as they use to be. Just not the same smoky flavor.
We got them for lunch & this is going to be my spot. It was so freaking good. I love love love pulled pork & that’s what I ordered. It was hot, seasoned well, & their bbq sauce is bomb. Very tangy with a good underlying of smokiness & hickory. The coleslaw was crunchy, so good. & the potato salad was dynamite; Mustard based, but mixed & what I liked best about it, It wasn’t like sloppy if that makes sense, like it wasn’t wet. Amazing food. Can’t wait to go back. Job well done.
Strick's has been a Hattiesburg staple for years. I fell for the BBQ and smoked drumettes when I was at USM. Freaking delicious! They have since upped their game with outdoor seating, an extended dining area and a meat/deer processing operation. Definitely a must go.
Didn't realize it has been 20 years since I've been here. Same great customer service and good food. Ribs?
Good bbq, pleasant service, clean restaurant, quick wait time. We’d go back and recommend it to others. We had ribs, drummetes, fries, chicken tenders
The chicken is absolutely perfect. The gumbo, which was recommended, by the waitress, hit the spot.
I don’t do a lot of reviews, but this one I have to share. I am a BBQ enthusiast and I believe BBQ doesn’t need sauce if cooked properly. Well I ordered the half rib plate and I used no sauce on the ribs. Cooked perfectly with right amount of spice and smoke, I wanted to eat the marrow they were so dang good!!!
Had a really good experience here. Food was decent and the overall atmosphere of this place was great. We will be back
Probably some of the worst ribs I have ever eaten. They were cold, tough and rubbery. Felt like I was trying to eat a piece of jerky. There's much better bbq places around Hattiesburg to eat at.
