The food was hot and made to perfection. Like ordering and having them bring to our table. Best Steak and Shake outside of St. Louis, MO.
Reasonable prices
So frustrated… went to Steak ‘n Shake in Hattiesburg, MS to get a root beer float for my husband who had surgery yesterday.
Usually I’m one to write great reviews as I’m in the service industry myself. When I walked in, there were about 4 other tables in the restaurant with people at them. It took over a half an hour to get one burger and one tender meal. Honestly just read the rest of the reviews, they’re spot on

I ordered dine in this evening and it was horrible. The burger was so cold when it came out that the cheese was not even melted on the burger. The Condiments and grease were dripping off of it, making it too sloppy to eat. Brought it to the manager’s attn & she acted totally uninterested, but she was interested in telling an employee very loudly to clock out at 430. The person who took my order was absolutely rude. I have worked in the service industry for a long time before and I have never treated someone the way this lady treated me. It was also my very first time trying Steak ‘n Shake and I will most likely not be returning.
I waited 20 mins for my food. Almost every table had trash on it. The person on the front register was more concerned with keeping his iPhone plugged in than taking care of customers and wiping down tables. That place needs a new manager that knows how to run a business. The place was a diaster.
