My husband and I stopped here today in an attempt to get something to eat. We stood in line only to be passed over by the cashier to take a uniformed military person's order. I am grateful for the service of our military personnel, but a line is a line. We won't be back. If the employees of an establishment don't think enough of us as a customers to acknowledge us for service, that's clearly an establishment we shouldn't patronize.
Quality of the food has gone down since I lived in the Burg and came on a semi-regular basis. The pulled pork was way too salty and the brisket was on the dry side, but that’s not my biggest complaint. My bigger issue was the young lady at the register. Mind you, it’s a Saturday on Mother’s Day weekend, so it’s extremely busy in there, but that’s no reason to be rude. She seemed extremely young, maybe a family member just giving her a job to make a few bucks, but for her to roll her eyes after I had be the one to say ‘hi how’s it going’ is poor service and a poor reflection of the establishment. If she’d prefer to be elsewhere on a Saturday night, I’m sure there are other people who would love her job and would actually work. Takes two seconds to fake a smile. In stark contrast the other lady working the register was busy but still upbeat and making conversation. Wish I could have gone to her instead.
I have been eating here since the brown bag days. This past Saturday we bought several items including pulled pork. More gristle, fat and pieces of bone than pork. Highly disappointed in overall quality. Times change.
Really wish I didn’t have to write this, but went there today and sadly experienced a discrimination against myself. Woman behind the counter chose to pick a person behind me to take their order (of the same skin color) and when I let her know that I was there before him. She told me, “I didn’t know, but I will finish him up and you will be next.” Which isn’t fair because I waited awhile to just allow someone else to get served first. Not only that she didn’t even apologize. I stood there long enough to watch the other server not using any gloves and eat the brisket as she was cutting for another customer. I won’t ever spend my money there and suggest others do the same. Someone begged me to go try them out and unfortunately I will never.
Brisket on this visit wasn't as good as before. We didn't get any bread. Maybe because it was extremely crowded and packed so service wasn't the normal best. But lemonade was great.
This is a first-rate barbecue place in what looks like an old gas station. It is obviously a local favorite, and they have a wide variety of choices of meats and sides, all of which are delicious.
It's worth driving from anywhere I think!!Staff always polite and helpful quick and courteous. I stopped every time I go up that way sometimes just make it a point to go up there so remember if you ever have to go North 49 stop at Rose's barbecueTell em D Noblemen sent ya...enjoy I always do
Picked up catering for a group of 15-20. The price was reasonable, and the staff recommended the perfect amount of food. Everything was excellent. Some of the best brisket I've had in a while. A real gem of the Pine Belt
I didn't know they had hamburgers until I happened to park infront of one of their window signs. I got one and some fries. Both were great and the buns were toasted just right as well. Wish I knew what they seasoned the fries with!!!
