This is probably the best Hibachi I've had in the Hattiesburg area. From the outside the building looks like any regular restaurant, but in the inside it looks very kept up. The Hibachi tables were nice and clean before they started cooking and the person cooking was really nice. The best part of course is the food, the portions were amazing and the quality was better than any hibachi I've experienced. There was so much that almost everyone had to get a to go plate for the leftover food. I got the chicken hibachi which I highly recommend. The food was good, the atmosphere was good, and all of the staff that I interacted with were very nice and friendly.
Absolutely always love going here. Not only is the food fantastic , but the service is always so great. They really pay attention to the customer. I hardly ever have to ask for anything before they bring it to my table.Recommend this place 100%
Going to Oishi Hibachi & Sushi Bar, we did not expect anything fancy. The building looks homey, so it was a comfortable experience. The customer service was top-tier with great accommodation and conversation. Our large group was perfectly entertained, especially by our server and chef. Though we can be the most rambunctious of people, the staff took it in stride. They were a great treat for my mother’s Birthday Outing.Though we picked this restaurant last minute, it reached the standard for everyone in both food and service. Everyone was happy but me. I held it in since I was happy with the service and my mother being happy. The food, however, was not to my standards.The rice and chicken hibachi lunch I had tasted of smoke. Chewing the meal was crunchy. Since I do not like wasting my food, I took it home to eat leftovers and nearly heaved the food up for how strong the smoke smell and crunch was. I could not enjoy my food. However, my family loved the food, so I do not know if it was my tastebuds or something else. Tasting my mother’s steak was much better than the chicken and rice I ordered.Overall, I was happy if my mother happy. She was especially when the restaurant gave her a chocolate drizzled cheesecake on the house for dessert. The staff even came to sing for her. It was a very happy day for my mother, and I could not wish for more. Though the food was not good for me, it was for my mother, and she deserves the world. Thank you, Oishi for doing that.
This is probably the worst place I’ve been in Hattiesburg Mississippi. The food is overpriced for the quality. When I asked the worker in the sit in dining area for something else since the food I received was so bland and overcooked, he looked at me liked I was stupid and just walked off. I was so embarrassed and he made me feel like asking for something decent was the worst thing he’s ever heard. When we were proceeding to leave after this, a little roach, you know, the nasty ones, crawl along the wall and onto our table. I will most likely not be coming back until they have an actual clean restaurant and better food.
The food was great and plentiful. Our waiter was AWESOME! He was funny, courteous and helpful. He even brought our 9 y.o. daughter a free special drink from Japan free.The building is old and dated, but the good and service more than make up.fir it and best of all it was VERY affordable.

We always enjoy our meals here. The parking lot could use some work, it feels sketchy at night, but the food is always good and the service excellent.
So yummy! Quick and attentive service, amazing food and the chef was very sweet to accommodate my 6 year old when he asked about the onion volcano. He got the waiter to bring him an onion from the kitchen and gladly obliged my sons request. Very thoughtful ??
The price is a bit too much but is worth it. The food is good plus the sushi is awesome
