Excellent food. Started with the chargrilled oysters, definitely worth doing again. Whole catfish dinner and shrimp oyster combo fresh and delicious. Staff really hustles. Just visiting town stumbled upon Newts, glad we did
Our first visit was wonderful! We got the blooming onion, large butterfly shrimp platter, and the seafood platter. Oh and I got a big slice of chocolate cheesecake. Everything was flavorful, we had amazing and friendly service, and the table area was very clean. We love a hometown fish house and this one hit the spot. Love that the menu has all the good southern fish house specialties plus some extra things like boudin balls! Can’t wait to go back to try out more of their appetizers!!
The new additions are great. Salad bar need a little more stuff on it and sour cream for the potatoes. Love the new look.
This place is fabulous to eat at. Every time the food and curbside service is friendly. Looking for the best fried oysters ! Come here! The owner is a wonderful lady! Come check her out!!!
The fried Catfish is great and the fried shrimp are amazing! I love the coleslaw and hushpuppies. Staff is friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend Newt's!
Amazing curbside service!
This had to have been the best seafood I had ever had. My father said the same about his whole fried catfish. The staff were some of the nicest people I have ever met. We showed 10 minutes before closing and they still served us as if we were their family. Will definitely come back when we come through town. Would give it 6 stars if possible.

BEWARE!!! Cindy the owner steals the tips from her helpers! Don't patronize this place! She stole the tips from teenagers she called to help due to not enough employees.
