terminating employees based on a customer’s report on what they thought they “heard” and no proof will never be appealing to me…especially when said employee has no disciplinary record, perfect attendance, dependable on short staffing and the accusation is left of the employees character(mentioned by several other employees). I honestly thought so highly of the establishment but now it appears as a colorism matter…and thats honestly hurtful. No wonder places are continually short-handed and hiring!
I can't leave a negative start rating. I will never affiliate myself with this restaurant again. Management firing a good, dependable employee for hearsay is crazy. Firing had nothing to do with the employee's actions as an employee. It was pure racism. Neither me nor my family/friends will ever go back here.
So sad that a good employee was fired. No wonder restaurants can’t keep staff and end up providing horrible service.

I like the choose two option. I often order half a Q sandwich and either a small salad or soup. My wife also likes the choose two.
Came in today, the atmosphere was great. The food was superb, and the staff was amazing. The small woman with brown hair went above and beyond, absolutely recommending to everyone, if you come to Hattiesburg, MS, this place is a must visit!
Good food, good service. They were busy at lunch on a Sat but sat us quickly and food came out shortly after.
Always soo good, fav is pizza supreme!! and Black and Blue salad! Did take put, all packed great!
I've been coming to Newks for years and it never disappoints. From the sandwiches to the salads and ending with their mile high cake slices there is truly something for everyone. My personal favs are the Ahi Tuna Salad, the Black and Bleu, the Shrimp Pizza and OMG the Spinach and Feta soup! It just doesn't get any cozier than any of those.
