Love the selection of veggies and the salad bar is yummy and fresh!
If you're looking for buffet style southern cuisine this is the place. Food was good (couldn't post video). There was a variety of options.The only issue I had was after sitting for about 5 minutes and waitresses passed by me, I stopped one and asked for a drink. I didn't get a refill until I was done with my food (3 courses) and already out the door about to leave.Aside from that minute situation I would have gave it more stars. I do recommend and I plan on this place again maybe when it's not so busy (I visited on a Tuesday at 11 am).
The buffet is truly delightful and filled with true southern food . There was such a variety of country food and my kids loved it . The price wasn’t that bad for the amount of food you are able to indulge in . The staff was friendly and the only thing I can say that wasn’t joyful was waiting in the line for the food . Most of the time the line went rather fast.
We were driving through Hattiesburg and stopped at the Movie Star. BTW, we were dressed OK. We went in and were told that it was 2:01 and that they closed at 2:00. OK. I’m a rule follower. I understood. We left. There was a couple after us. I told them they were closed. We got in our car. I noticed that the other couple didn’t follow us out. My hubs went back in. The couple was in line for the buffet. He asked the hostess why they got to go in. She said, “ Oh, they got in line.” These rule followers won’t be back there!

Wonderful buffet. Good selection of vegetables as well as meats and salads. Desert and drink were also included. Good servers as well. Great place to eat.
Absolutely love this place. Food is always amazing and the atmosphere is great. I leave extremely happy and full everytime.
Several of us reserved the back room for lunch driving from Biloxi, Richland and Foley, AL to meet with old classmates. The food and service was great and all of us were pleased.
The food is great and the people (owners and all help) are awesome. Very family oriented business with people that care for people. My favorite thing about this place is watching customers come in, receive hugs or warm welcomes and all the smiling faces that this place puts on them!!
Friend and I ate at this fabulous buffet today. We didn't arrive until 1:45, 15 minutes before they close, but the food was still fresh and soooo good. The fried chicken was perfect!! Had green beans & black-eyed peas because they're "good for you" but I had seconds of both because they were delicious. My friend had smoked sausage and said it was the best she'd ever eaten anywhere.We were the last customers to leave but none of the staff made us feel rushed. They even left the dessert bar open for us - well after 2:00.The ONLY thing that could have been a little better was the sweet tea. Too much sugar & not enough tea flavor. Very minor.The Movie Star Restaurant earned every one of their 5 stars & we've already made plans to go back.
