omg, this is the best home cooking, soul food, southern cooking you will ever find anywhere, ever. While on a road trip my wife came across Homestyle Restaurant on a Google search. Stopping for food here is one of the best decisions we've ever made. Seriously this food made my soul happy, to my core. Best fried chicken I've ever had. There's something magic in the batter, something secret that you can't find anywhere else. I know, I've lived all over the world and I LOVE food. I'm now sad because I live in FL and Hattiesburg MS is a long drive I will have to make to experience this level of satisfaction again. Do yourself a favor and stop here.
