We have eaten here twice on our visits to Hattiesburg, and these are the BEST burgers! We have tried different burgers, and I don't think you can go wrong with whichever one you pick. They are so good! I won't ever come to Hattiesburg again that I don't make a stop at Ed's Burger Joint. The fried dill pickles were disappointing. They tasted like they had a cornmeal batter base to them. But those burgers! I still want to try a shake, but I am always to full!
Nothing special but they have variety in food selections. I had bacon burger n tots my friend had turkey burger n onion rings. The food wasn't hot when we got it. The waiter staff has to run around looking for your table. N they r very crowded when they open at 11. I prefer 5 guys over them. And their prices are high for a regular tasting burger. Oh. The menu said grilled unions n neither of us got grilled. Just sliced. My friend said the best part of her meal was the butterfinger shake.
Visited here during the school (USM) break and not a lot of students around -- but being from a university community it wouldn't have bothered me. Sat outside with our dog and they treated her with a special 'pup cup.' The burgers were the absolute best!! We just 'thought' our hometown had the best, but kind of sad to say that Ed's Burger Joint has them beat. In a way, I'm glad they're a 5 hour drive from home. Go - enjoy!!
Super fun, Dog friendly, family place - picnic tables and games outside - strings of cafe lights, simple menu with great food. Inside there are walls of post-it notes with little messages - there are blank ones and markers so you can add you’re own to the walls. Some very fun over-the-top menu items, too - a triple bacon cheese burger with grilled cheese sandwiches for a bun! Fun desserts, including stuff like Cap’n Crunch Crunchberries milkshakes.
I've eaten here too many times to count. I've done pick up and carry out and dined in. Every time, the food is hot, tasty and delicious. I love a good turkey burger and since the closet spot that serves them (Red Robin) is 70 miles away, Ed's turkey burger hits the spot. There onion rings are to die for, too! Lightly battered, kind of like a tempura-type batter, outstanding. The dining area is cute and kind of retro and they have a Miss Pac-Man/Galaga arcade game - winning! Oh one more thing...as of this review they accept Apple Pay not Google pay, but they do accept all major cards and of course cash.
Ed’s Burger Joint is a fun casual spot for a great burger and fries. We had the Roadhouse Burger and the Heavy Eddie burger as well as fries and the Dirt Cake Shake. The burgers were tasty and juicy. The milkshake was insanely big and over the top and it was amazing!
Love, love, love!!! We passed through Hattiesburg on our way to New Orleans. Met a couple of friends at this location. They have massive messy burgers. Huge shareable sized portions. Wonderful service. Great flavor. Tow vehicle friendly location. The parking lot was quite full, but it was big enough for our 5th wheel and truck. Bathrooms and restaurant were clean. It’s a bit on the higher end of pricing for a burger joint, but well worth it. Portions are so big that you could share with someone and be fully satiated. They got the good ice! ❤️
This was a pretty interesting place to discover while passing through. First, I got the Gravy Fries (NOT on the online menu!) and they were AWESOME with gravy, green onion, cheese and whatever else was on there. She got the Sweet Potato Fries and they were spot on! The burgers were also good, especially after I added mayo and mustard, but I wish I had requested medium or medium-well instead of well-done because they were VERY well-done. Even so, I enjoyed the food and the decor. FYI, the default is 2 patties, apparently, so come hungry!
pretty good! the (orange) sauce was really good! I got a patty melt with fries and it was good. needed a little more seasoning on the patty melt, but the sauce kinda made up for it. quick service and all the employees were friendly.
The workers were amazing but the food not so much. I got bbq chicken nachos, it had very little cheese. It was suppose to have rotel literally only had one spoon full. Then the chicken was just nasty clearly not fresh. The fried pickles were alright. $20 and I wasn’t impressed at all.
