This place was close to the hotel, we stayed at the Oasis. The food was good - nothing to brag about, we would go back. The views are nice, the staff pleasant and attentive. The portions are large and the drinks were good.
This was my second time at White Cap Restaurant. The seafood was so fresh and delicious! I highly recommend it!
Three generations of exceptional seafood makes the White Cap one of the few remaining family restaurants left in South Mississippi. I had an oyster salad, a cold, cold brew and bread pudding. It was a memory lane moment since White Cap used to be one of my favorite lunch and dinner places back in the previous century. The oysters were cooked to perfection, lightly breaded and succulent. The bread pudding was full of raisins and was among the top three best ever. Even though the White Cap moved from its former location in Jones Park to a safer spot down the highway, their tradition of well seasoned, properly prepared seafood and friendly, prompt service has not changed.
Stopped in for a bite. Seated quickly. Friendly staff. Barq's in a bottle! Delicious seafood gumbo. The raw oysters were big and very tasty. The broiled oysters were cooked and seasoned just right. Even the fried dills were a good balance of breading! Over all, 100%! Definitely recommend. I am glad I stopped back in on an old favorite visiting home. So worth it!
I always eat here when I'm on the Gulf! Love the view and food and drinks are always delicious ?! White Cap is my favorite spot to eat at on the Coast! Their service is always great?! If you haven't been you must try! You won't be disappointed!
Had the Seafood platterIt was very yummy and plenty of it. Waitress was real friendly and took good care of us.
This is hands down the best seafood on the coast. The fried shrimp and grilled mahi we're among the best I've ever had, and that's saying something. I've eaten all over the world, just so happens this place is a mile from my house. Reasonable prices and outstanding service as well. My new favorite place!
Great lobster but some of the 7 of us needed help getting the delicious meat out of the shells. Thanks to Rebecca for her very kind assistance. Loved our meals.
First of all this place is in a wonderful location with a beautiful view of the beach. It is very clean inside and they got an A rating for cleanliness. The prices of the seafood is about what you would expect on the beach. The waitress was Sydney and she was absolutely wonderful. She is so cheerful. But they use the cheapest ketchup. Not Heinz. So when they make their cocktail sauce it has a weird taste. For that reason alone I cant come back. I love shrimp and scallops but you have to have excellent cocktail sauce at a seafood restaurant to get a good rating from me. Maybe I’ll come again and just bring my own from home.
We visited White Caps for a late lunch, early dinner. We were seated at a table with a spectacular Gulf view. The dining room is decorated in a fisherman’s style with nets and stuffed fish on the wall. We looked into the bar area and saw similar décor with at least one television. Service was prompt, but unobtrusive. Our party enjoyed fried catfish, fried shrimp, and chicken tenders, with side salads and French fries. We are glad that we chose White Caps among the available choices.
