We were craving a juicy, well-seasoned enormous Philly Cheese steak and along with the great service and friendly atmosphere, GOT IT!! Definitely going back here and w already passed this place on to our neighbors!!

I’ve been to Pats and Gino’s up in Philly and they do not come anywhere near Tony Nelson‘s! There’s a reason why there’s a crown on the sign… They truly are the king!!! The servers and people who work there are really nice and cool as well!! Never pass this place up.

Yall go in and ask for a Lay Me Down they gonna fix you the best philly steak burger you ever had!!.. Best cooks in Gulfport.. Will Definitely visit again!!
Come here with my dad every so often and it's perfection everytime. Idk how many places you see the owner work the front lines to make sure every cheese steak is cooked just right. I hope this place never shuts down. Hell, even the French fries are cooked to a crisp perfection.

Food is good. Last 3 times i tried to get food at 6:00 an they are closed. The times never match what it says on google. Also if you go late the employees are upset.
After a medical procedure that required a 28 hour fast, all I could think about was a Tony Nelson's cheesesteak. I ended up in a majestic vortex of delicious bliss that is the triple cheesesteak followed by the Philly burger. I'm glad Tony brought this experience to the gulf coast. Great job!
I love Tony Nelson's, and I have never had a bad experience until today. I called in to place a take-out order around 1 p.m., the young lady that answered the phone was very rude. It was very loud, I asked if I could place a take-out order, she said she couldn't hear me so I repeated myself louder. She then asked if I had my phone on speaker, I informed her that I didn't. She didn't say anything for about 10 seconds, so I said "hello". She rudely responds that she's waiting for her computer to come up. She tells me to go ahead with my order, I tell her I want a original cheese steak with no onions and a.....she rudely interrupts and says give me a second. I'm then asked for the rest of my order. I ask for a 12 inch original cheese steak, no onions. Before I can get anything else out of my mouth she says "it'll be ready in 15-20 minutes you can come in and pick it up then", then she hangs up the phone in my face. I didn't even have time to tell her what kind of cheese I wanted on my sandwich. When my order gets here there are no peppers on either of my sandwiches, and no cheese from what I can tell. Not sure if I'll be ordering from here again.
I really enjoyed this place. The place looks a little drab and does not have flair, but that's ok. You are there for the Philly, remember that. On your Philly you get the option of Cheez-Whiz which is relatively unheard of around here. The owner rang up my transaction and you could tell he was hustling and working hard. COVID has killed a lot of restaurants, especially small ones, but Tony Nelson's scaled back their hours to make sure they could still offer its guests great food at peak times. Check this place out! I loved it!
