The Almanett Hotel & Bistro has to be one of my all time favorite restaurant on the Gulf Coast. They serve the best Spinach Dip, Lollipop Lamb, Mac& Cheese and Catfish. I can go on and on about this place. What I enjoy even more is the customer service. Everyone is always pleasant and constantly willing to accommodate you in anyway. My “Spotlight Person” goes to 2 beautiful ladies; Bo and Angel!!!! These two ladies are amazing to have serve you when visiting the Almanett. They energy is amazing, they always smiling and they have the ability to make you feel “welcome”. They are very knowledgeable about the menu and are good with paring things together. Ask them anything and I’m sure they will point you in the right directions. Please drop in and enjoy the experience I had, make sure you say to Bo and Angel. Always remember “Just Be” kind to them. He
We were greeted by Mike!! Pleasant smile and a welcoming spirit. My mom and daughter was thrilled with the home environment of the cottage, Sandy! The food was delicious ? from the restaurant, especially the Lollipop Lamb Chops. The location is very convenient. We visited the Aquarium which is within walking distance, exactly two blocks. And the view of the beach from the Hotel balcony was spectacular! We will be visiting again soon! Overall, a great family vacation!!
I was born and raised in Gulfport. So, coming back home for a family reunion I was delighted to stay in a black own hotel in my hometown. However, I was very disappointed. I paid for a deluxe Queen bed and got a full bed. It smelled like old mold, the floor were creaky, and the doors were sticking. The food was mediocre and I didn't feel comfortable being there. I wouldn't recommend nor will I stay here again.Signed,Disappointed ?
I love this spot we come each month twice if lucky. Very nice ambience staff is great. Sometimes it's a party with the dj or the romantic side is available with fire place. The food us phenomenal ?
Spinach and Artichoke Dip fabulous. Unhappy with Seafood Platter. There was no wow factor in taste and or presentation. Didn't try drinks. My first experience. Atmosphere quaint. Will try again
$8 for a tiny cup of gumbo that really didn't have any flavor past the taste of peppers.Other than that, everything else was great. The fried shrimp were well seasoned and had great flavor despite being a touch overcooked. The collards were just like grandma used to make and the cornbread was perfect. The bread pudding was close to the best I've tasted.Service was on point and made sure I was back out in time to get back to work
Restaurant was amazing! Mike was AMAZING with out 7 year old boy (who was b4 coming in having a bad day) he left happy and talked about Mike the whole way home. Food was absolutely delicious.
Located right accross the street from Jones park and one street off the beach. What a great spot. The best service and food I have had in a LONG time. We had the pleasure of being waited on by Michael. He was kind, knew the menu, and we came to find out he owned the place. The pan fried catfish was the best I have ever had. Also recommend the Gumbo, Mac and cheese and fried shrimp. When we come through we will be back, kudos!
Great ambiance, very easy parking, the service was fast and friendly and best of all, the lamb chops, collard greens and potatoes salad were great! I look forward to my next visit. Well recommended!
The service was excellent and the food was very good. There was not a wide selection of items on the menu but everyone in our party of 7 was very well satisfied. Our host, Beau, is a keeper. She is the kind of person to make everyone feel special from the moment they enter the building.
