My experience was very comfortable, great service and the food was great served hot and seasoned good
The food was fabulous and our server Nathan was on point and very personable! Highly recommend this spot.
This was my first time to come to Shaggy's and I've always heard good things about it, but this experience was not a good first impression. we walked in and asked to sit at the outside area and the bartenders out there were incredibly rude to the host trying to asking if there was room for us out there after she'd already called over the radio asking.. the bartender said there weren't enough chairs out there and they couldn't move anymore around after we've clearly saw more than 2 chairs at the bar available. at that point we told the host we would just sit inside bc I didn't want to be served by them anymore.
Wife & I went for lunch on our road trip, we're greeted by Corey the manager.very accommodating, friendly staff.If you like rum then the punch is worth it, Seafood fries very savory & filling.Very cool atmosphere with a view of the Gulf.
Stopped for lunch and regret it. Ordered the Grouper sandwich and that makes me a will never return customer. Grouper is a delicate fish, one easily over powered. I expected the grilled Grouper with a bit of tartar sauce and lemon juice. I got a cold grilled Grouper slathered in some overpowering sauce. That was bad enough but it had sat long enough the bun melted away being so wet. Wife had a hamburger that makes a fast food joint look like a gourmet meal. There really is no reason to argue with people who believe they have served you something fabulous. You simply learn your lesson and move on.
The hostess was extremely rude. It was a little over 30 min before closing time, which I know is hectic. We had originally went in to order to go, she tells us they don’t do take out orders anymore but then refused to even sit us (only 2 people) because it was too close to closing time. I also heard her lecture the family of 4 who came in right in front of us about how absolutely everything closes at 9pm and they will get no service after closing so they better make it quick. I guess customer service has changed in the past decades. When I worked in food service you took everyone who walked in through the door before closing and waited on them with great service and a smile….we will never go to Shaggy’s again.
We stopped for the first time while in the area. Had some seafood.. burger... Quesadilla. Everything was good. Server was friendly and food came out super good.
I have seen this restaurant pop up a few times as a recommendation so decided to check it out. I really liked the atmosphere and the staff was helpful. The food was not like spectacular but not bad either. Our waitress wasn’t the greatest sadly but the other staff made up for it. And you can’t go wrong with an ocean front view for dinner.
We drove to Gulfport on Tuesday and decided that we enjoyed Shaggy's in Biloxi so well we will try this one. It was equally as good.
What an awesome place to eat on the Mississippi Gulf Coast!!! Fresh food and awesome service!!! These peeps know how to do it!! Shout out to my girl Cayla!!! Always friendly and a great hostess! Treats us like family!!! Well done Team Gulfport Shaggy’s!
