Absolutely delicious. When you drive up the place looks like an old elementary school. We weren't sure what we were looking for in trying to find Ms. Audrey's as we wound our way through the neighborhood but I'm all about trying places out so we gave it a shot. OUTSTANDING!! When you walk in they have a menu written out on a white board for the specials. It's a cafeteria style line but with down home southern grandma cookin'. Everything was the best tasting you can ever imagine. I'm originally from South Park in Beaumont Texas and we had a few places way back when that were ran by ladies that knew how to cook soul food the old ways and Ms. Audrey's really reminded me of those times. We had Mama Dora's back then that was setup similarly. The memories...... also the place reminded me of eating at MawMaw's house....just great food. I had the mashed potatoes with some ox tail gravy and just that was out of this world amazing and astounding....I don't even know how to explain in words how good this food is. I had the fried chicken and this is done so right, lightly breaded...tender....seasoned just right... Good Lord I hope she has a location in heaven. I also got the dressing, again.... absolutely amazing. I can't stress this enough.... unbelievably delicious. We've been on vacation eating and all the expensive and highly recommended spots in Biloxi and this BEATS THEM ALL. I had the banana pudding for desert and it was perfect. It's obviously a local treasure, kind of hidden back away from the beaten path but it's worth the trek to find it. The prices are cheap for what you are getting, the portions are substantial and this is food you can taste the love in. It's different when people are passionate about what they cook and you can really sense that here. Tip these ladies well because they are doing magic at Ms. Audrey's Southern Kitchen.
Our good friends invited us to eat here. It's in the back of a old elementary school (not in use as a school anymore) you walk into a very scarce dinning area, tables and chairs are old and very simply decorated. The food is on a old school food line (pun not intended)Served on styrofoam plates with pre packaged plastic fork and knives w/ napkin. Now let's talk food. The variety is a good selection of southern dishes. Baked and fried chicken, red beans w/ sausage, liver and onion, shrimp etc...then the sides. lima beans, collard greens, fried corn, green beans, mac cheese, white rice w/ gravy. The bananas foster bread, peach cobbler, pudding. It's probably one of the best southern style restaurants on the Mississippi coast. I'm not a food critic, just your average guy with a taste for good wholesome food with lots of flavor. This is one of those restaurants that should be on your bucket list. Do try it and you'll be hooked!
The food at MS. Audrey's is exceptional! It was Monday so I had red beans and rice and it was all delicious. I'm looking forward to trying their other specials. Service is excellent and everyone was very friendly. Highly recommend.
This place has never let us down. We heard about this place from our daughter. We've been 3 days in a row. Today will be the 4th when they open @ 10:30 lol. Food is delicious. They call us family now. Looking for good, soulful home cooked food, this is the place to be. Their energy is amazing. I recommend everyone to try it.
Wow! If you enjoy a great home cooked southern meal, then you better find your way over to Ms. Audrey's place. I've eaten at just about every southern/soul food establishment in the tri-state area, but today was by far the best in my lifetime. The food and the hospitality were simply impeccable. Yes, it topped Collin's Dream Kitchen.
Y'all, it was by far, the best food in Gulfport for home cooking comfort food! even the tea will knock you back a notch. Good job Ms. Audrey! You're an amazing person and an amazing cook!
The rice smelled and tasted expired so we didn't eat it and the server only put 3 small oxtails on my plate even though it was 1:50 and they closed at 2 it seemed as if they were saving the food to take home
Had Christmas dinner catered & it was the best decision made since I worked this Christmas. When I tell you how good & plentiful everything was you wouldn't believe me. Fried Turkey, dressing, Mac n Cheese, Greens, Rolls, Cake along with Gumbo? I should have pulled off her shoes to count her toes! She put her whole foot up to the ankle in that food!
Food was great..staff was very friendly....I'm full....done!
Some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. I highly recommend
