We just relocated here from the Atlanta area and have been missing good BBQ. We are used to lots of great options but had been coming up short since we got here. Did a search, read the reviews, and decided to give Kenova a try. I was skeptical but the food was absolutely delicious and made me a believer! Hands down the best we’ve found in the area. I ordered burnt ends, ribs, Mac n cheese, collards, and the Brussel sprouts. Everything was incredible. My husband had the same with beans, fries, and Mac n cheese for the sides. Kids had nachos and a cheeseburger. Every single thing was fantastic! We will definitely be back and bringing family and out of town guests with us! Glad to have a great BBQ spot in our new home!
The ribs were wonderfully cooked. Very tender and with a great sweet sauce. The sides however were not edible. The potato salad was very “twangy”. The waitress said it was pickle juice but having eaten potato salad all my life this was questionably just way past date. The collards had the same twang and an off smell. The baked beans were mushy and again full of a vinegar twang that might have come from the meat in it. I had to draw the line at the creamed corn also tasting ‘twangy’. The worst sides ever. We took the ribs home but had to leave all the rest behind. Cornbread tastes like Jiffy. We won’t visit again.
Unfortunately I was taken here by the online hype. Ordered a lot for me and my family. Expensive. Portions are small and food is ok, GREASY. We felt heavy and sick afterwards.Order was placed online but husband wanted to see inside and order something else for him. Young people scrambling everywhere, owner or person in charge mingling, completely disregarding other people....Cashier clueless. Unfortunately not a good experience but they do have lots of friends and I can see they are the ones putting the reviews in. Maybe if we knew them service would have been different. PS photos were taken to make them appear bigger. White BBQ sauce not that big of a deal.
The family had a great lunch last Sunday just before closing. We ordered the half rack of ribs, brisket, pulled pork sandwich & smokey fried chicken wings with Alabama dipping sauce. The ribs were the best, followed by the chicken wings. The cornbread with honey butter was my favorite side. Loved the strawberry salad with sweet & tangy dressing. Did not care for the cole slaw or potato salad but all the other sides were good. The servers were very nice & accommodating . We will definitely be back.
Excellent BBQ, the brisket and burnt ends are delicious. Never had anything like there pit beans but they grow on you. Grits and Mac n cheese were also delicious. 10 out of 10, would recommend to a friend!
Absolutely delicious. We eat here and get takeout almost weekly. It's fantastic. Easy 5 stars. Burnt ends defy description.

So we purchased Almost Heaven Platter and smoked wings. The collard greens were amazing but thats all. The pit beans and potato salad needs work.
Oh myyyyy. You guys gotta share the pork nachos and then munch on a delicious salad and maybe a side of ribs. Nice folks too!!

I’ve had a great experience eating at Kenova Smokehouse. The customer service is 10/10. The portions were very generous and filled me up ,but the flavor was definitely the bread winner. It’s worth every penny and I will revisit again to try more menu items.
