Had breakfast there this morning. Ordered beignets to start and they were rock hard pieces of fried dough that were nothing like beignets, and had absolutely no flavor. I took one bite. When we told our server she said, “Oh yes, they’re always terrible”!? I ordered French toast and it was coated in so much cinnamon that it puckered my mouth, and the inside was very soggy. My boyfriend’s meal of country fried steak and eggs was decent. I ate my bacon and asked for a plain biscuit and butter. When I ordered my meal initially, I asked our server if they had hash browns and she said no. When bf got his meal it had hash browns with it. ??‍♀️? The ladies sitting across from us had pancakes and French toast and the pancakes were raw (almost liquid) inside and the French toast was same as mine. They were not eating it, either.

Ordered tomato gravy and biscuits. The tomato gravy tasted like spaghetti. Very disappointed. Ordered a banana split. You would think a 50’s diner would know what a banana split is. It was 2 whole bananas, vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup only. That is not a banana split?

Over all great day experience and friendly and great waitress❤️

Cajun Eggs Benedict was legit. Eggs were overcooked though. Besides that it was an enjoyable experience. Service was great.

Loved the chicken pecan salad! Conner was a great server and very conversational as we were there during a tornado warning and they were not very busy.

When we walked in, the place was empty. The decor was mediocre and the waitress wasn't the most knowledgeable. Surprisingly good food.

I have always had good service when going. I've gone with just my wife before and with a party of 10. Always consistent good service. I am giving it a 3 star only because the food can be inconsistent. By what I see I think it has more to do with how busy they are and not necessarily because cooks are bad. I've worked in kitchens before and it can get overwhelming so I understand but it does hurt return business.

We use to love coming to Jos Diner. It has been a few months since out last visit. I'll start by saying out server was very sweet and attentive and I don't blame any of my complaints on her. My first issue was the lack of cleanliness. Our booth was dirty and so was the surrounding restaurant/bathrooms. We had to dust old food out of the booth before sitting down. The floor looked like it hadn't been mopped in a a long time. There were dirty rags piled next to the wall on the way to the restroom. The bathroom sink and counter was gross. What made it less excusable were we were there right at opening at 7am the restaurant should have been spotless considering we were one of first few tables seated. We waited 45 minutes for our food to come out and when it did our Salmon Benedicts had NO salmon on them. We asked the waiter to please bring us some which she apologized and quickly did. Once we cut into the poached egg on top we were surprised to find it was so over cooked it was boiled on the inside. For a restaurant that serves several different types of egg benedicts you would think they could properly poach an egg. Also our hashbrowns were burnt on top. Our meal was $60 dollars and for that price I expected more than Mcdonald's level accommodations and food quality.

I love to go here for breakfast. The sausage and biscuit is great (very large) and perfect with a cup of their coffee. I get this often to go. When I have the opportunity to sit down, which I did last week, I get the first item on the menu (choice of meat, eggs, hash browns or grits, biscuit or toast). I opt for bacon, hash browns, eggs medium sunny side up , and wheat toast ( Their wheat toast is thick like Texas toast). It is exceptional! Service is always great.

99.9999999% sure our server was high - and this wasn’t a understaffed slow service thing - dude literally walked back and forth in the section 10 times and never checked on someone.
