Good food, big portions, friendly staff
I have eaten at this restuarant for years. I wanted my mom to try it with me and had the worst customer service experience at this restaurant ever. They must have changed management or owners lately. I will never eat or recommend anyone their again. All money matters no matter what color you are.
I ordered Red beans and Rice with broccoli and sweet potato crunch and roast chicken. The only thing that was intolerable was sweet potato crunch and the Roast chicken, nothing was labeled as good. The Red Beans and Rice was pure nasty. The broccoli looked old and dry . I didn’t even waste my time in tasting the corn bread because it didn’t even look good.
Thank you Grant's Kitchen for your great service and food!!!! This was my first time eating here and so was it for my friends. The restaurant is set up cafeteria style without extra long serving line. The servers received us well, gave us options of what to try and what a made a plate as well what would be extra. The restaurant was very clean and the atmosphere was pleasant and home feeling! All condiments were self serve but our food server directed us to them in advance. Grant's Kitchen is a must vist and highly recommend ??!!!!!!!!!
I love goin to this restaurant ?. This visit young man who works did such awesome job ? had to bless him. He made my husband ? smile . Wow God is so good ?
Fast service, tasty food at a reasonable price. There were few in the dining area and the place was clean and comfortable. I recommend this restaurant
I had the fish it was okay but definitely not the best I've had. You could tell it was already cooked and waiting to be sold. The green beans however were awesome
Much better than my previous experiences in the past. After multiple attempts I said I would not go back. Service was bad and my order was incorrect more than it was right. That was a year before Covid hit - maybe longer. I wanted some veggies after a visit to Lowes and decided to give them another try. I got the five veggie plate. Macaroni and cheese, green beans, cabbage, sweet potato crunch, and lime beans. The macaroni and cheese was sooooo good. Cheesy and full of flavor. OMG! I could have gotten that times five. The cabbage, lima beans, and green beans we good. For me the sweet potato crunch was a miss. It was not my cup of tea. If that Mac and cheese is consistently like that...you have won me back Grant's kitchen.
First time to dine here as our ministry had a service in our immediate area. Grant's kitchen and grill reminded me of a locally owned style of former cafeteria style chains like in days gone by like Lubys or Morrison's. There are items you could order from the menu or pick meat and 2 sides and your choice of bread for anywhere from $8.95 to $12.95. I ordered the roasted half chicken with pinto beans and okra and Mexican style cornbread. My wife had the Pot Roast with sweet potatoes and green beans as they were out of mashed potatoes. Other entrees on the cafe line today were Catfish, Fried Chicken, Meat Loaf, Country Fried Steak, Smoked Sausage and Chicken and Dumplings. Veggies also were carrots, several types of beans, potato salad, cabbage, and other choices. You can also have a salad bar as a side, a one time trip or all you can eat salad bar for your meal. Desserts today were pecan pie, cheesecake and banana pudding. Food was good only reasons I did not rate it five stars were my son's cheeseburger was overcooked and his bun was burned and the cornbread was rather dried out. Other than that a great family atmosphere with down home southern cooking!
It was our first time eating here today. Food was aight. Nothing to write home about for 15 bucks. That included a drink (beverage was 2.00, made the total 15). If I had to make a comparison, I'd say go to piccadilly. Unfortunately, there isn't a piccadilly in flowood. The staff was very nice and the restaurant was clean so those were definitely bonuses. 3 stars for staff and good catfish.
