Southern hospitality was spot on. We always look for unique experiences being out of state, I'd guess this is a local favorite! It was packed but we got right in. My husband ordered red beans and rice. He enjoyed every bite. I ordered a FGT with praline bacon. It had a great taste, sweet so they brought me a roulade with heat. That did the trick. My hubby liked it so much he put roulade on his bread! With water our bill was $31 before tip! We flew into Jackson Airport and it wasn't a long drive to G.B. worth checking out!
We just flew into Jackson and decided this was the place to try. My hubby ordered Red Beans and Rice. He almost licked his bowl clean. Great flavor. I ordered the FGT with Praline Bacon. It is sweet. I asked for a spicy mustard and they brought me a roulade. The heat in it did the trick! Super friendly staff. Very attentive. We drink water. Bill was $31 before tip. Glad we went!
Georgia Blue I would say is an interesting place with an interesting atmosphere. The menu is also interesting. They have a very planned selection of meals with almost always a twist of some kind southern specific or otherwise. Very zen fusion type menu. They also have their own line of alcoholic beverages they serve. The servers are usually quite nice. The food is very tasty which makes up for the fact its a bit overpriced. It's the kind of place you go to hear the owners or employees say our ingredients are top quality which makes our food taste good and great ingredients cost which runs up our price but it's worth it. My suggestion definitely check them out but make sure you go ready to pay heftily if you're taking the family or if going by yourself and getting more than a appetizer. It's a treat yourself kind of a place.
I ordered $80 worth of carry out. I tend to eat carry out here at least once a month. Every time I get carry out they show me the food. I get it was busy because today was Mother’s Day but the woman (she was Asian, I don’t care about her race but I don’t want the blame on someone else)at the counter was rude and unprofessional. First, when grabbing my order she let an item fall out of the bag. She kinda just stood there and looked at it. Finally another worker came up and put it in the bag. Also she didn’t show me my order, which they do every single time I order carry out. But I understood because it was Mother’s Day and it was busy. When I got home my fiancé realized that his wings were not in the order. So he called the restaurant and let them know that we would be returning for them. Once there I returned to the counter for the wings with my receipt. The same woman told me that I did not pay for the wings. Then I showed her that the wings were on the receipt and she now said that I never paid for the entire order. I explained that I directly handed her $90. It was a very awkward exchange and honestly made me extremely embarrassed in front of the customers waiting and the staff. The woman basically scoffed it off and never apologized. I left very confused and generally upset. The food was great as usual. I’m so sorry to be leaving a 1 star review. But I have never had an encounter at a restaurant before that left me feeling so embarrassed and confused.
With skipping lunch, we were hungry- Stopped in here because it was close to our motel and were very surprised- Service was a little slow, but to be expected in 2022. Food was fabulous, Had a burger, too big to eat, took half back to hotel- Chuck had the pot roast poorboy- too big- had to ordered more gravy- hope housekeeping enjoyed what we left at the hotel.
Walked in today and the bar area was completely empty except 4 people was told there was a wait for the bar not just the bar top tables of hour and a half to two hours. We saw nobody waiting for bar area but was told they had 43 reservations, but they were shopping. Good way to lose a local customer for life. Now I will take my business to someone that values it. There are never reservations at the bar.
Had a few appetizers and a desert. Duck wontons, collard fritters, and crawfish fritters. Was delicious and our server was great!
The staff was friendly, they got me and my daughter seated quickly. Ashley was our server and she was phenomenal, the food was amazing and the all around atmosphere was family friendly and very unique. Will definitely return.
The bartender Mark is amazing and make the best suggestions. The food was very delicious and the service was great. Would definitely recommend and visit again.
Had a great time with friends and family at the show choir competition. We saw the show and grabbed a quick bite at one of our favorite Jack-town restaurants. I haven’t had a bad meal here yet. I had the shrimp tacos and shared the loaded nachos with the group. Don’t pass this place up if you’re looking for good comfort food.
