Went there for a Lions Club meeting. The steak and seafood were delicious.
Everything was great but the grease that the seafood was fried in made the food look dark. I really miss the salad bar.
Great food, a little pricey but you get what you pay for. There’s usually a wait, and don’t bother calling ahead because they don’t reserve tables. Although it was odd, I called ahead to reserve a table for a the group I was with and was told they don’t do reservations but when we arrived and was told there would be a wait, I noticed a table large enough to sit my group and asked about it and I was told it was reserved haha imagine that.
We ordered a large rib-eye medium rare and got a well well done steak. We knew they were very busy and understaffed so we didn't send it back and me and my husband switched since my steak was actually medium rare as ordered. I told the waitress and she agreed it was way over done. They took $2.50 off our bill even though it was pretty terrible and I ate maybe a quarter of it. Won't be back.
Very disappointed ! Called @ 7:20 pm to ask what time you close. Was told that she thought 8:30 but really wasn’t sure. Told her that I needed to place a to go order but would call right back. She said “that will be fine.” Called back @ 7:24 and was told that you weren’t taking call in orders. Said that she stopped taking call ins a few minutes ago. Told her that I’d just spoken to her and she didn’t tell me that. She said “sorry”. Asked if there was any way she could take my small order, she said NO and hung up. I’m very disappointed. This is the 1st bad experience I have ever had and my family and I are frequent customers. I’m as much disappointed with the lacking of her customer service, as I am in not being able to order. You need someone with knowledge and better customer service to answer the phone. Please consider that. Hope to never have this experience again !
One star because our waitress was great. The food was horrible tho. My hamburger steak was as you can see just a grilled hamburger with onions on top and gravy on the side. The fish fillets were extremely small. Like one fillet cut into 3 strips. Then fried to a crisp. The entire meal was a complete disappointment. They did comp the hamburger steak but that should be expected when I only could make myself eat two bites of it. The guy running the register asked how it was and when I told him you could tell he didn’t care at all. I definitely won’t be back.
The food was good. Disappointed they did away with their salad bar but understandable with all the Covid mandates. Service was good. I ordered a large rib eye $30. My wife ordered a small rib eye with fried oysters. When our food arrived, I noticed her steak was the exact same size as mine. I questioned the server that brought us our food and he assured me it was a large rib eye. It was very thin and quite a bit of fat. I don’t mind paying $30 for a good steak but really felt this was not what I paid for.
The food was good. I love their turnip green! It is a must order item and I order it every time I eat there.
