Went here for breakfast, food was good. Dried grits was left on side of coffee cup and served to us that way, my husband plate was chipped, we were served that way. Service was very unorganized took us a while to get silverware to eat with after the food was served, had to locate some one for silverware. Was not the cleanest place to eat . Needs great improvement in the service and cleaning area. Rate it a 3 because the food was good.
Good luck getting waited on. Our extremely nice hostess showed us to our table and was super friendly, then nothing. Waitresses kept walking around our table like we were invisible and the last straw was when the people right behind us sat down and got their drink order taken immediately. So, we got up and left. The little hostess looked so confused and I told her on the way out that we couldn’t get any service. Not ever going back.
Trouble getting food on the table. I ordered grilled catfish with three veggies. The waitress brought me fried catfish with the veggies. I sent the fried fish back and requested the broiled. Ten minutes after finishing everything else, the fish arrived. Also, the veggies were overcooked and soggy.
Goodness gracious....poor service and even poorer food prep. My fried catfish was half cooked in the middle. And our food took forever to come out. Our server did not refill our beverages, we had no silverware, and it was just not a good restaurant selection. I'm a fan of cracker barrel so I know what it is when the food is great and the service is on point. Just didn't get that this time at this location.Nonetheless, cracker barrel is still one of my favorite aces.
Very good food very good service
Unfortunately we've been unable to be seated twice now, due to kitchen issues. The food has always been good, if you can get it. The service is friendly if you can get sat at a table. However, after 2 times trying to eat here and having to wait to be sat due to kitchen issues with an unknown resolution time, it's hard to want to go back.
They needed to be on a wait on Sunday. They sat more tables than they could handle, so service was extremely slow, the food came out wrong and some of it was cold. Our poor server was waiting tables and working the grill at the same time so we barely saw her. The staff overall was very friendly despite how slow everything was and they fixed our order quickly. We waited 45 mins for our food (2 of us), but a few tables left before getting their meals. The staff was understanding. Next time, a wait would make more sense. People would rather wait 20 mins to be sat and then wait 20 mins for food than wait 40 mins at the table.
Me and my husband eat there often and usually enjoy our meal. Today, and I do take into account they were busy, we sat there an hour and a half and were served the tables breakfast beside us. We were confused by it because it was some of what we ordered, and some not what we ordered. We decided to eat it anyways. The pancakes were hard, the ham and bacon tasted like grease and the sausage was hard as a brick. The couple beside us got their meal for free and were served along with us, and given we sat there as long as they did. I feel the same gesture should have been handed to us as well, but the manager seemed a bit snippy when we explained we didn't get what we ordered. We didn't show up expecting to eat for free, but we did expect to eat in an allotted amount of time, as well as, eat what we ordered.
We really love this place. It is a family environment. We have been there 3 times. 2 for breakfast and 1 for lunch. The staff is very friendly. The 4 stars are for the cleanliness of the place. Our last visit was when it opened at 7 am. Floors were not property swept. The fireplace was dirty, old biscuit in the front of the fp. They don't dust well either. There is an object on a ledge, adjacent from the fp in the first room area, under it is a bunch of dust. Also, the edges of things don't get dusted.Food is good, staff is good, and the small shopping are is good reasonable pricing. We have picked up items on each trip.
