Excellent food at fine dining prices. The restaurant is a bit loud for my taste. My table had to yell at each other just to have casual conversation.
I ordered the chicken parm pasta. The chicken was good but my pasta was bland. I ordered the spaghetti off the kids menu and it was not good. The waitress was nice about it and allowed us to switch it out for the burger. The green beans were not hot when it reached the table. The portions are a great size. The crawfish empanadas were also good. I will be back.
We were disappointed in Genna Benna's. The ambiance was great, but the food was plain, simple, and uninspired. We ordered three different menu dinners, but little of it was remarkable. The side of broccoli was good, and the grilled shrimp (that was served on the shrimp salad) was good. But overall it was all so ... AVERAGE. I could make these dishes from random stuff in my home, from pre-packaged grocery store items.
Ordered fried shrimp to go...shrimp battered beyond recognition; very crunchy to point of being hard. When removed batter, shrimp had been fried with shells still on......I really want to support local business and am grateful to have your establishment here but I think your quality has lessened since opened.
Our waiter got 2 out of 3 orders wrong. He was not very helpful either. My dad ordered one thing they did not have he did not even tell my dad he just brought him something else that my dad hates
My husband took a couple coworkers to lunch for Administrative Assistant day. He brought home two chicken strips saying that I had to try them as they were the best strips he’s ever had. I’m not normally into chicken strips but these were PERFECT. Incredible seasoning, lightly breaded and the strips perfectly cooked and tender. The one that I ate the next day was just as wonderful. Seriously excellent. not the usual ‘kids strips’. We’re definitely returning this week.
Quaint old building in downtown Brandon. The seafood pasta had the most perfect sauce and the sun dried tomatoes were amazing. The sirloin tips on baked potatoes was "falling apart" tender. Our waitress, Brianna, knew when we needed something, and did not hover when the meal was going fine. We are excited about going back and introducing our friends to place, especially when they will have live music.
The wife and I 4/10/2022 went there for lunch. We were seated right away. Our order was taking with in 10 minutes. About 5 minutes, the waiter came back and told wife no white meat on chicken, she said dark is fine. About 15 minutes later people that came i after us was served their salads. Waiter refilled tea and wife asked him if I could have my salad. Waited little longer and went to head desk and complained that meals were being served to others before us. Our waiter came back and ask was there a problem. We stated the fact and he said he would check on it. He came back in about 5 min and said that there was no Prime Rib, would I like to order steak. WE have been waiting an hour to eat and now would have to reorder. We say no, just ticket for tea. Assist Manager came over and explained that the order did not get to kitchen, would we like something else. I told her no, we would pay for tea and leave, she said tea was on them. An hour worth of bad service.
A big thank you to both the staff and management at Genna Benna in Brandon for their help today when my friend and I came for lunch. My friend has problems walking and then began to feel unwell so we needed help to get her out of the restaurant and back to the car. I think 5 or more people were involved in helping us. And then they gave her a bonus cupcake to take home. Also, the food was great. I will definitely go back.
The food was delicious. They take everyday menu items and raise the bar with them. Great staff.
