Our meal at White Pillars May well have been the finest we’ve ever had at a restaurant. Patrick, our waiter, explained the Chef/Owner Austin Sumrall’s strict philosophy about using fresh, local ingredients, particularly the seafood which came from across Highway 90 in the Gulf probably that very day. The oysters done three ways, the Pad Thai shrimp, roasted carrots, the swordfish and cioppino and peach cobbler each made for explosions of flavor. While we have a personal connection with the owners, we would give the same review had we never laid eyes on them. The ambiance of the place is fabulous, a spectacular rejuvenation of a Coast classic. This was our first visit. White Pillars lives up to and even exceeds all the great publicity and awards. A must destination.

If you come here and don’t get the PB&J foie gras you’ve really missed out on one Chefs best dishes yet - The whipped up buttery foamy mousse goodness deserves its own review. We have been coming to WP since they opened but tonight we just came in for charcuterie and a few appetizers (a first for us). We were blown away by the foie Gras small plate. We dined in the bar area for a more caz night out. We usually only order foie gras when we are in France but the foie gras description on the WP menu looked interesting and so we tried it. [wow] I dare say this foie gras rivals some of the Michelin star A-lister foie gras dishes we’ve had. Whipped foamy buttery goodness! Best ever - and seriously y’all…What a gem of a place we have here on the MS Gulf Coast!!

This was a great restaurant for a nice evening dinner. The service was very good and the food was excellent. The portions were large and the prices were very reasonable.

Wonderful atmosphere and great service!!!

Had a wonderful experience here. The building itself is beautiful. Large open rooms, white tile floors, huge bar area, and still some of the dining areas are also quite intimate and comfortable. Our group had a private room and we tried half the menu. They try to source everything they can locally and keep everything fresh. The menu changes often and if and if they don't have quality product or run out of the special then you'll have to pick something else so get there early. Service was excellent. Multiple service staff handling it all and very knowledgeable about what they are serving. I'm sure we'll be back.

This restaurant was amazing! I tried all kinds of things I've never had and it was delicious. Staff were so friendly and knowledgeable. Everything was farm to table and the atmosphere was perfect. We had a private room for our large party on a girls night trip. Wonderful!! You have to try this place.

Fantastic food and service. Hands down the best restaurant in the area!

Amazing customer service, very friendly staff and chef. They are all extremely talented, behind the bar and in the kitchen, and knowledgeable about the spirits/cocktails they are serving. They know the history of where they are, the building they work in, and so much more & they share that knowledge with their guests, which we liked very much!! We had a great time here & hope to be back soon. Some highlights: the bar is an original 1920’s pre-prohibition piece, 150 year old doors, 400-year old painting & so much more they can share with you. Definitely do not skip this place. The drinks, the food, the atmosphere & all the friendly faces can’t be beat. Shoutout to Justin who took excellent care of us at the bar, and of course the chef.

As always, White Pillars was excellent. We are so lucky to have a restaurant like this on our Coast. Every detail is well planned & executed, and the service is warm. Chef Sumrall & his team have created a special place.

It was my Girlfriend’s birthday. Jeff our waiter was outstanding. He is a true treasure. We had the duck fat fries, which were amazing. The buttermilk quail, however seemed a bit over cooked. The Carbonara was awesome. And the ham hock was terrific. Best grits I have ever eaten or tasted. Your peach cobbler is like a palette cleanser. This is our new favorite place!
