Got a refill on sweet tea countless times, and our food came out relatively quickly, but it tasted pretty flavorless overall and now both me and my fiancé feel very sick in our stomachs. Used to love this place years ago, not too fond now.
We ate hibachi. The service was very good, fast and friendly. I ordered the filet mignon lunch it came with fried rice and vegetables. I chose egg drop soup over the salad or other soups.The hibachi chef was friendly but a little clumsy. He nearly hit someone with his spatula when flipping it around in his fingers. Outside of that one incident he was very good.The food was served just as expected and was very tasty and flavorful. I really enjoyed the experience and I would definitely go back.
I had never been here before. My family came in town so we decided to check y’all out. I have to say Ashley was an amazing server. My kids probably was driving her nuts. But she didn’t show it she played with them. She made us some really good adult drinks and made sure we had everything we might have needed. Will definitely be coming back. Thank you Ashley
We have become steady customers here and have come once a week for the last few months. After living in Japan and dining at fine sushi restaurants there and this across this country we have very high sushi standards. I don’t think the management( which is excellent) or the customers realize what a world class sushi chef Tom actually is. As the weeks passed we have asked for increasingly involved and more difficult items. Tom has been amazing in his execution of each one- drawing on his decades of experience at high end sushi establishments all over the USA. A true artist. Also a shout-out for our most recent server Ashley. Really on the ball- fast and attentive!
I went on a date here yesterday and I had a really amazing experience! Our server, Coi, was very polite, patient and informative about all the questions we asked regarding our food. We had crab rangoon with sweet chili sauce, egg drop soup, a sashimi sampler, sushi and maki rolls, and eel(unagi)! Everything was so delicious and promptly served! Our server definitely got a large tip from us and is a great asset to y'alls team there at SUMO! Only complaint is that the windows, curtain, and soy sauce dispenser were incredibly dirty, but nonetheless we had an amazing time on our date and we'll definitely be going back!
Great place to eat. Had to wait but the bar area was fine. Food was delicious. Servers was polite and courteous. Easy parking.
Went here for lunch. Thought the tempura was great, terriyaki salmon was nice but wasn't too impressed with the sushi roll we ordered. Service was good and friendly. The tempura cheesecake was good but we were a bit surprised and confused to why it was served with "to-go" plastic utensils. Overall experience was positive and will visit again when in Biloxi.
New to the area we read the reviews of Sumo and thought the sushi bar would be a good choice. We were not disappointed! Tom our sushi chef is very accomplished with decades of experience. Excellent product and presentation and Tom did not hesitate to make our special requests. Our server Coi was very attentive and frequently checked to see if we needed anything. We were most pleased and will be frequent visitors at the sushi bar.
Waitress paid ZERO ATTENTION to us when we ordered. And even after we told the cook the right order, she rudely tried to change it again. Food had no flavor, chicken felt like you was eating rubber. The steak was the best part. Even the rice was very blan. Don't see us going again. Overrated, definitely we'll continue to goto Koi Sushi
Good place overall, sushi was delicious. The only thing wrong was when we got to our table it smelled like bleach very strongly. I don’t know why in America they still allow using bleach, it’s banned in many countries. The smell was very pronounced and is definitely not good for your health.
