We've been visiting McElroy's for thirty years, and it has changed. So sad. We were handed a very limited menu, with seafood that listed fish and seafood that came from overseas (not local and not fresh). The menu was extremely limited, substitutions were not allowed. Food was just ok. We all look forward to McElroy's when we're on vacation. But this will likely be our last visit. :(

This was my 1st stop on my vacay. Ticktok made me try it. It was on a Wednesday at 4:00. No wait at all, THAT WAS A PLUS. I was able to sit outside by the harbor. Very peaceful. Waitress very friendly. I had the blueberry lemon drop martini- didn’t taste much blueberry, but they didn’t skip on the alcohol. Fried green tomatoes- not salty, but I’d rather add salt than it be too salty. The gumbo- it was good. Nothing spectacular, just good. The flounder (I think that was the name) was a lil bland, but add your own salt and your good. Overall, I give it a 4 . The lack of salt kept it from a 5.

We came here with 2 other family members. The 4 of us ordered the Seafood gumbo cup and bowl, we also ordered Crab cakes, a Crab po-boy, seafood delight and the snapper delight w/ crab. The gumbo was nice, hot and tasty. The bowl was huge. The poboy was good but as someone said, it's a sangawich. The Crab cakes were good. Some lump and good flavor. The seafood delight was very large and filling. Plenty of good stiff in there. Shrimp, fish, sauce etc. Nice mix and good taste. My blacken snapper was really fresh and full of flavor. The Crab was a nice touch and really complimented the fish. The sauce was nice also. Coleslaw was Sweet Southern style and the hush puppies but were nice. We ended our meal with a slice of chocolate oreo and a key lime pie. Our meal was fantastic. The service was great. We had a seat outside in the corner of the balcony. Great view. Great weather, which we ordered. Sea gulls behaved and didn't swoop down and steal out food. We really enjoyed everything. I think we would all recommend this place for a nice meal and great views.

Upon arrival we were greeted promptly and seated outside as we requested. Our server was at our table moments later gathering our drink orders, she remained very attentive thru our entire meal. The food was good, not great and priced inline with what others would charge for such fare. I ordered the Harbor Special (blacked red snapper with creole sauce and lump crab topping). I felt as if the lump crab part had been an afterthought but I (incorrectly) assumed that it just came with a very small amount…..after seeing others post pics of the same dish I’ve seen that I just got shorted. The dish was still very good but not sure it was worth the $32 I paid for it. (Interestingly enough that same dish was $22 seven years ago but as we know the cost of doing business has increased significantly over the last couple of years). My wife had the grilled shrimp over crab cakes, said the cakes were far superior to the shrimp and my daughter the Shrimp po-boy. All in all it wasn’t a bad meal, just not up to the expectations we had as we were born and raised on the coast and my memory of this place was much better.

This was my first time in Biloxi and the first restaurant. I wanted to be as close to the coast as possible while enjoying a great meal. This has to be one of the finest restaurants in all of Mississippi and the United States. The food was EXCELLENT!!!!! Our server, Tiffany was AMAZING !!! She is a woman of great character. Sharon, the night manager too is AMAZING!!! I'm so thankful we came and we will keep coming. If you are considering, do not hesitate, this place is IT!!!!

Loved the food and the view. The staff was polite and attentive. The food was delicious, from the outside doesn’t look like it would be this great but I was very impressed.Right on Ocean Blvd next to Hard Rock

Red snapper (Harbor Special) was delicious! Crab claws were just okay. Gumbo was good as well. Meal was a little pricey but worth it.

Enjoyed waterfront dining here last summer and again this May…great spot..comfortable for solo business travelers, couples and families. Delicious seafood with pleasant wait staff and fair prices.

The view is excellent. Service was efficient. Food was average although the portions are very generous. I felt it was a bit over priced.

Unfortunately, the reviews and ratings on this restaurant are not accurate in comparison to my experience. If so, I would not have gone and wasted my money. Crab dip appetizer was the only thing good. Salads were mostly the white, hard, inside portion of iceberg. My mother ordered the shrimp remoulade salad as a meal (14.75) and it was the same size as the side salads. My sister ordered sweet tea: unsweetened was delivered, she asked for sweet again and old sweet tea was brought. The waitress even said ‘do you want me to get your tea from inside’ because we were sitting on the porch. But if you know it’s bad, why would you serve it to customers? My sister had to change her order to a bottled soda.
