I was here recently with a friend for breakfast. I ordered an omelet with Italian sausage, tomatoes, mushrooms, and cheese. It came with toast. Paired with coffee my came bill came to $25.21 with tip. Wow.Before retiring, I frequented the Key's in downtown St Paul and recall more reasonable pricing.The service was good and the food just above average making the value proposition a poor one especially when another 4% is added to use a credit card.
A family tradition. Keys is consistently a good breakfast and always a friendly service team. My dad lived in Woodbury and we always had to go there when I was in town. You can’t go wrong with a good breakfast at Keys.
The food was great as usual. Fast service as usual. Server was pleasant. Follow-up water and iced tea refills were nonexistent unless we asked. (Too many customers; not enough staff??) First disappointment was the "race" to our booth with my 92-year-old aunt in tow. Granted it was lunch time, but 92-year-olds are not the most fleet of foot. Our guide could have at least looked back with a semblance of a smile to see if we were following. Next disappointment was the statements on the bill: "Sorry, no checks" and "3.7% will be added for card transactions". Credit cards have always had a fee to the establishment; now they are passing the charge on to the customer. Next disappointment was being ignored at the checkout counter by a very aloof staff when trying to pay and buy cookies. Will we go there again? Yes, because my aunt loves the place and lives nearby. I usually give Keys a BEST review, but today, something was very off.
Awesome food and fabulous service! Water was provided when we sat, drinks were brought within minutes and the food was brought out about 10 minutes after we ordered. The place was busy but the staff turned over tables quickly and everyone was very friendly! We didn't get anything from the bakery but it all looked GREAT!
Great food great service and wonderful setting. I had a small disapproval of the 3.7% service charge that wuz not disclosed until AFTER receiving the bill. Not very transparent for customers nor insightful when factoring its business module within the food industry.
First, I'm from WI and first time I received service from you. You are absolutely amazing. From the time I placed the order to the pickup everything was perfect. Got to the gathering and set up the food and the service items was easy. Perfect again. The food was so good. Bacon and ham high quality of meat and excellent flavor. Scrambled eggs and hash browns the same. The pastry and the fresh fruits (truly fresh ...not from any cans) and the accessories (salt pepper napkins coffee jams cream drinking containers varied juices etc.) not missing anything. Was wonderful. The attendees were from 2-72 Yrs. of age and happy w/selections. The best part it wasn't a gathering of happiness but of a gathering of one goodbye forever. Your service, quality of food was a reaction of joy! So how was the atmosphere? Blessed beyond belief! Thanks, and appreciation from the bottom of my heart. Always a great place with great food and good service. A usual spot for us, it was packed when we arrived, and all restaraunts are having a tough time with staffing, so we cut the waitress a lot of slack as she had a bazillion tables. A couple sides were wrong and removing a couple ingredients from a wrap were missed. This absolutely wont stop us from going back to Keys but it also means I can't give this visit 5 stars. Go hungry!
We absolutely LOVE Keys Cafe in Woodbury! It's our go to place for both comfort food & breakfast.They have a wide variety of breakfast foods & specials. They have comfort foods like pot roast, turkey dinner, meat loaf & soups. Their Chicken & Wild Rice soup is FANTASTIC.My husband's favorite is the turkey dinner. It comes with turkey (white, dark or both), homemade bread & butter, stuffing, mashed potatoes with gravy & homemade cranberries.Their Swedish meatballs are fantastic though they are a special so not served every day.They have a great bakery selection as well. We love the cookies, pumpkin pie, lemon bars & cupcakes.It's a very quiet, cozy vibe. Wheelchair accessible & lots of accessible parking out front.
We love the French toast here. We had the co4n beef hash number 2. And the cinnamon French toast with apple topping. The apple topping was a little dry but the toast was amazing. The one draw back to this location as opposed to the others is it is a bit in the open and cold and loud. There is a busy golf place and hardware store where people are constantly walking in and out the door right next to the open air seating where there is not a wall. All and all great breakfast and service.
Absolutely love Keys cinnamon French toast! It tastes like my grandma's. My husband and I each had one. I also got eggs, breakfast potatoes and homemade wheat toast. Everything was so good. The only complaint I had was it was cold in the restaurant.
