Was impressed with the quality of service and the quality of food. As a railroad employee the green mill caters for them. Everyday we were treated with kindness and respect. They made sure we were given the proper food and it always had a decent taste to it. Will be back as a regular customer any time

No more onion rings; pizza dry no flavor, pasta is even worse, oil everything no actual cheese is used. Avoid at all costs

Mother's day brunch was good. Not amazing food. However, very good food and great for the cost! I would come again. Lunch/dinner, breakfast and dessert buffets! Tasty. Though I do prefer more flavor and spices, it was a good price. Fantastic surprise was a flower for each mom. Bottomless mimosa was a good deal. Waitress was friendly and helpful.

I don't regularly leave 1 star reviews. As a matter of principle, I prefer to give abundant opportunities to bring a bad experience back around to a positive. Unfortunately, the last 3 times I've been to this particular Green Mill, the experience has been lackluster at best. I will focus solely on tonight's visit.Mothers day 2022We arrived to what appeared to be a moderately busy night. We saw this and were not expecting impeccable service when we came in.We were seated quickly as there were at this time a decent number of booths and tables available. Our drinks arrived decently quick. We ordered a couple of appetizers and our food once the drinks came. About 30 minutes later, as a best case, the appetizers arrived. Both were cold, and the fried pickles were so over done that all you could taste was frying oil. At this point, we were not willing to make a scene, but simply write it off as just an iffy dish.Looking around the restaurant we noticed that the number of open booths and tables had grown to be the significant majority inside. Servers wandering around, bar staff chatting up with other staff when customers at the bar seemed to be trying to get service. Other staff taking second place to a snail at cleaning a couple of tables. At the 1 hour since ordering point, we had not seen our server, and another patron had begun addressing their issues with a manager. At close to 1 hour and 15 minutes after ordering, we had decided to leave, as the kids have school in the morning and it was nearing their bed time. We were able to track down our server and request a check for what we had already been eaten, and we left.I know many people would exaggerate wait times in their reviews to hype up their grievances, but I can absolutely provide proof of how long we were there via Google timeline if it were ever necessary.I really do hope for the best with the future of this location, but I for one will not be returning.

I use to eat lunch at the original location in St. Paul when I went to technical college back in the late 70's. My favorite dish was the spaghetti and meatballs. So just for fun, I ordered it again at the Green Mill on century Ave in Maplewood. I forgot how tasty their sauce was and how tender they cook their noodles. And it comes with three tender, tasty meatballs. I couldn't finish it (but I did anyway because it was so delicious!).My wife ordered deep dish pizza. It takes longer because this is real deep dish that has sauce all the way to the end of the dough. They cook it in special pans to keep the sauce from spilling over the sides. It was a big hit as well.Needless to say I will be making Green Mill one of my favorite stops once again after re-discovering their excellent food!

I hosted a retirement party here for my Mom and her dozen guests. Everyone loved the food, both appetizers and what they had for dinner. The server was fantastic, and we had the entire room to ourselves to socialize. I was able to get in early and decorate too! Thanks for a great experience!!

Great experience. Walleye was grilled perfectly. My waiter was super friendly and very professional. It was a pre birthday night out!

We were disappointed ? with our experiences! We were seated next to an obnoxious table of people who shouted each time someone new joined them! They then continued to yell to others as they were talking. A party room would have been better for this group! They were so loud that we couldn’t talk to each other! The woman in the booth across from them had to keep covering her ears. Our server was great though. Unfortunately there wasn’t another place to sit.

Fun place, we were there for a birthday party for a friend and had a great time. Lexi, the bartender was really good and very friendly. Really good pizza and apps. Little pricey, but good quality for what you get.

I appreciate that the Green Mill has 1/2 price deep dish pizzas on Tuesdays and the staff is very nice. I think the deep dish pizza in Chicago is much better, so that's why I only give 3 stars. Having said that, there's not a lot of deep dish pizza places in MN, so I appreciate that the Green Mill exists.
