Perhaps one of the best burgers I have ever had. I can't get over how each bite is juicy and so delicious. They must have some magic secret. I think I would drive from the cities to Saint Cloud for just one of their burgers. They use simple and quality ingredients. They don't offer tomato. Their fries and shakes are fantastic too! I am very impressed and will be back again and again.
This is one of those places we make an effort to visit when we are in the area. I have friends who attended SCSU then moved hundreds of miles away, they still make the trip just for Val's!Real ingredients, lots of flavor, filling, and reasonably priced. I enjoy the old fashioned feel.On this last visit it was extremely delicious, and a little less greasy perhaps?We branched out and tried the chicken sandwich, it was flavorful, crispy, and filled the bun perfectly. Exceeded our expectations!We love Val's. Best part is the fries!
Great place to get cheap burgers and shakes. Has an authentic vintage feel and simple ingredients. Surprisingly the website is up to date and you can order online for take out. Your typical hole in the wall restaurant that has good food. Only issue I have is the fries are a bit too salty.
Love love love this place! Kiosk ordering makes it so easy to customize your order. Staff is always top notch. Their shakes, burgers, fries (I opt for less salt) are to die for! Always busy, but never a long wait.
Normally love this place but the last 2 times I've been there, I get rock hard chunks in my burgers. Just this burger I got today, I got 3 chunks that looked and felt like bone chips. No, it wasn't my teeth lol. Flavor is good, same as fries, but I can't do that anymore ?Edit: 5yo just tried his burger and he spit a rock into my hand too. This isn't cool lol. And the large fry would normally feed 3-4 people, half as much now.
Quick and DELICIOUS! My daughter RAVED about her cheeseburger! We ordered a bacon double cheeseburger, single cheeseburger, two small fries and two small shakes. All for under $20!!! And the small fry was anything but small! So good! Best shake I've had in a good long while! The service was so friendly and welcoming. I literally cannot wait until we are in the area again! This will definitely become one of our go to lunch spots!! Amazing!!
Finally got my Val’s fix a few weeks ago. Sad they no longer carry the shrimp burger but the burgers are still what they always have been! Fries too… one order is enough for 2-3 people! The workers couldn’t be more friendly! My motto when interviewing for our small restaurant we owned for twenty years…“If you’re not happy to be here, why should the customers be happy to be here?” Keep up the good work and great customer service Val’s… it’s just as important as good food!
I've been all over the US and this would have to be in my top 10 best burger places.Excellent, fresh, unique, with an old-style nostalgia.I'm very happy places like this still exist.The only criticism I would have is it would be nice if it was open until midnight Fridays and Saturdays.
I hadn’t been to Val’s in over 4 years and now it’s kinda sad, they have made the buns bigger and the meat smaller. Im guessing they changed the recipe to increase profits. The fries are also not what they used to be, this time they are more stale.I will go one more time just in case I landed on a bad batch of fries or something. But if they really have changed I will never go again. I am actually disappointed.
Great burgers and fries. Didn't have a shake but they looked delicious. Order ahead if you can to save waiting in the tiny lobby. Friendly and super quick service.
