A coworker said the food was amazing. We learned about the Taco John's law suit. The law suit is ridiculous, there is no way to confuse the two! The food was amazing and reminded me of the authentic Mexican food in west Texas. We really enjoyed our meals and have decided to return to continue exploring their menu. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was very clean. It really brought me back to the places I enjoyed in Texas.
I have never heard of this place until I saw Taco Johns was suing them. Needless to say after all the comments/posts/ word of mouth I decided to try it. Firstly I want to say, the ambience is EVERYTHING. You walk in and your ears are blessed with Mexican music and smiles. The food was delicious, tables were clean. I wish they had agua frescas but that’s okay, nothing a Jarrito won’t fix. They have a few plants I assumed were FAKE, only because they looked so healthy. Upon touching them I realized they were real! Seriously who can keep a fern alive without it looking like a crispy b***h? TACO CHONS CAN.10/10 recommend, definitely eating there again.
Birriatc Tacos are very good. I thought that they might be good with sour cream, however they are best Dipped in the Sauce that comes with them✨Yummy...Looking forward to trying something New from Taco Chon
Delicious, authentic and definitely not easily confused with Taco John’s ??. We got the Macheton with two types of meat- barbacoa and carnitas. Everyone we saw had hearty portions ?. We happened to be in St. Cloud, looking forward to trying the Burnsville location one day!
I can't post the food photos because we ate it all too fast. The food was amazing, the flavors were strong and you can taste how fresh their ingredients were. It was a great experience of Hispanic food and I will definitely go there again. They are hard working humble people who get the food right.
I got the chimichanga to go and it was huge, I had it for 2 meals. They put the cheese sauce in a separate container so it stays crispy until you eat it. I had steak for the meat and kept everything on it. I tried half of it without the cheese sauce and it was so tasty and even tastier with the cheese sauce. If you like cilantro it is very good. Definitely worth the $11. This is my first time there and will be going back. Staff was super friendly.
Food bogus. They don’t even have a legit sign in window. Also beware the pop/soda(fountain drink) don’t come with the meal and it cost over 3 bucks..most of the pop in the machine is flat. Food not seasoned. We also ordered a Chimichanga And requested beef..that was pot roast in it and not what it was supposed to been. You don’t get plastic cups either you get the glasses that gets Rewashed. Silverware is at the counter where the silverware is not face down where you grab the handle it’s the opposite where everyone touches the part that goes in your mouth.Place not good and I’ll never go back. I wonder is this real authentic Mexican food. Because it definitely didn’t taste like it. I went to the one in St. Cloud next to game stop.
Authentic, epic food. Great prices!
Wow!!! Tantalizing the taste buds!!!!We had the 20"inch Macheton, Soft tacos & Alambre!!!Very authentic and charming atmosphere!!!What a delight and treat!Another one of those hidden gems here in St. Cloud MN
Best tacos in central Minnesota, hands down. ?All fresh, even the hardshells. I’m assuming their made in house. Really great and very fair prices. Had 3 styles of tacos, street, birria and a regular hard. All excellent!
