Great food, served accurately and with great quality. As others have mentioned, it’s a good portion of food, so you should be satisfied and may even have leftovers. Staff was very friendly and helpful, really made for a great experience. Would highly recommend.
Half our order was missing then I opened what we did get (stir fry with extra/2nd protein) and it’s missing the chicken but has the steak. I’ve never had bad service when I order from here so I was surprised. I called the store and an associate named Darryl. He said I would see the credit in the morning, I hope I do and will gladly change this rating when/if it comes through.Edit: great customer service! Got an email from Mark stating the credit went through and got a promo code which I will definitely use. Again, this place has great food, just guessing it was an off night which is understandable!
I visited the Columbia, SC Urban Wok location on 7/13/22, and it was not a pleasant meal. I originally sent an email to the email address provided in other reviews, but no feedback received, so adding as awareness on Google for others. Check was #73. The layout and atmosphere of the place is beautiful, nice, clean, and laid back. The Manager was nice as well, came to assist me without my asking, and explained some things on the menu, and how the ordering works as this was my 1st visit. Helpful, but a little too invasive of my personal space as I ordered, came over twice, & I'm glad I was wearing a mask at the time as I'm very afraid of catching Covid and he wasn't wearing one. Not saying he has or was spreading Covid, but cautiousness is an overstatement for me in this day & age. The screen to order was kinda dirty and had spots on it also, and I immediately went to wash my hands once I was done ordering. Wiping down the screens between the public ordering would be a big help to cleanliness! The order didn't take long at all, great plus. But NONE of the $40 worth of food we ordered was good. Very unfortunate because I have been looking forward to trying this place since I saw the "coming soon" sign last year. The wings ordered were soggy, limp, and not good at all. The jalapeño rice, which was what I was most looking forward to try, was gross, mushy rice, and not good at all. The Noodle bowl was mushy, dry, and not tasty either. I added sauce thinking that'd help but nope, it didn't. The noodles were way over cooked, the chicken & steak in the noodles were edible and I was able to pick the few out to enjoy, but ended up finding food at home to eat because the meal wasn't pleasing at all. $44.13 down the drain because I honestly couldn't eat anything besides the meat in the Noodle bowl. There may need to be some additional training needed for the chefs cooking in the back regarding cooking times and flavors. Highly disappointed. I doubt I'd try it again due to this experience & a few others I've seen regarding the Columbia, SC location.Edit: To the owner that responded to my review, what are you talking about? This was, and is, the only review I've done for Urban Wok, I have not left any other reviews today or any other day. Please don't try to make it seem like I've posted multiple reviews, this is the only one I have posted. Thanks
All orders are done via tablet. No fountain drinks, and the bottled water came from Costco. Only two people working, one on the wok and the other doing order prep. The employee behind the counter was too flustered to provide any customer service. We eventually got our napkins and plasticware. We received our appetizer with our meal. All meals served in Chinese food boxes. We had to ask for our additional sauces that was missed for our order. Food was tasty and fresh. On street parking for this location in St Paul.
Stopped in for lunch. It was quick and easy to order at kiosks along the counter. I had Cilantro Lime Cauliflower Rice with Steak and a variety of veggies. All of the ingredients were fresh and cooked perfectly! I chose the Spicy Peanut Sauce and Blackberry Habanero hot sauce. It was a little spendy but the food was delicious. I look forward to going again!
It's a step 1-4 choice order: proteins, sauces, rice or noodles, n veggies of choice. Price depends on added order starting at $12.
Lack of flavor and went during dinner time, place was completely empty (even though we just ordered takeout). After we took it home and we’re disappointed, we tried to spruce it up with our own spices (sriracha, chili oil, fresh herbs, etc) but was still bland somehow. Probably better off getting authentic Asian food somewhere on university/midway
The food took a lot longer to make while I waited, but the young man at the order counter was quite pleasant and kept checking in to make sure I was OK and offered a bottled water.Customer service: 5/5Food taste: 2/5 (lacked seasoning)Freshness: 4/5
Wing Wednesday is awesome! Orders are often not correct. They do their best to make it right but a lack in communication results in wasted food.
sadly average and wayyyy overpriced. and my noodles were burned on multiple visits. Sadly I won't be back. I really wanted this place to correct the flaws. Off to Pei Wei Asian. exactly the same at 60% less cost! Buyer Beware!!
