The croissants here are the best on town! I make a special trip when I'm in their vicinity. Note: They close at 1:00pm.
This is my favorite place to get croissants! I also enjoy the Vietnamese coffee and the bao buns. Highly recommend!!
honestly the best crossaints in st paul. they are soooooooooo good! they run out fast so I definitely suggest getting there early if you wanna selection. the almond ones are more spendy ($5) but they are worth it!!! bahn mi is good as well, the deluxe is better than the regular. the regular seems a lil low on filling. they also have buns you can take cold of they can warm them for you.
Just pure love goes into everything that is made here. Growing up, this was always the place to get your banh mi, and after moving back years later, it tastes even better. I got house sandwiches, and added a deluxe (more meat & veggies) - highly recommend getting the deluxe every time. Their baguettes are perfectly baked, lovely crunch and there is still a softness to it. Also added a croissant or two, and I devoured it. I was going to share with my husband, but ate it instead. It was the best croissant I’ve ever had. One sweet woman runs the counter herself and lines can get pretty long since it’s just her, but go anyway. FYI - if you come in before 8 am, no sandwiches are served yet, just pastries.
I am on the eternal quest for the best croissants in the cities. If you want REAL croissant made with REAL butter, from a small family run business, this is THE place to go. Every bite is buttery deliciousness. Coconut, chocolate, almond, strawberry and more MMMM! Also great Bahn Mi' Ask for it if you don't see it. And great french bread. The croissant freeze well, don't hesitate!
OMG!!! If you haven’t been to Trung Nam French Bakery, then you have NOT tasted the ABSOLUTE BEST ALMOND CROISSANT IN THE WORLD - Bar None!!!
Vietnamese sandwich or house sandwich is fire! Crispy bread so nice and crunchy. Would definitely recommend this place! Wish they added more veggies and meat but it is a good portion!

I have gone there for 30 years. Feb 2022- the sandwiches had literally 50% LESS fillings. for the same price. I get it- there is inflation everywhere- but this was truly disappointing.
Soooo good! everything! Everytime! friendly and fast and absolutely delicious! croissants to die for and their house sandwich is the best in town. crusty chewy baguettes must stop place come early when they sell out that's it for the day
